  1. In the past, such requests required roughly 90-days notice due to the long lead times for procurement, and this was pre-C.
  2. My God man, the UK Cancer Consultants must be losing their minds about now.
  3. One of life’s great mysteries, JP’s vacation time is.
  4. As folks who have tried to use the Cloud's or Wind's tiny workout room will tell you, the ventilation system can be the culprit in bringing smoke into the ship from the outside, not just location to the Connoisseur room.
  5. My head hurts and I wonder, when do the food and wine pics return? 😁
  6. It all depends on where and when you want to dine. Some men bring no jackets because they don’t want to dress formally and are comfortable dining in their suite or on the pool deck on formal nights. Others bring a dark suit and tie because they would like to dine in The Restaurant or La Dame on a formal night. And, others bring just a blazer because they are comfortable dining informally on formal night in La Terrazza. The same might even pair said blazer with a tie and dark pair of slacks and have absolutely no trouble dining in The Restaurant or La Dame on formal night. So, as you can see, you have lots and lots of options.
  7. Cool! You'll have to return here and let us know whether the re-launched Crystal lives up to their hype and prices.
  8. From your experience, does the end of the WC correspond with a major changeover in the crew itself?
  9. Are they still offering tours out to the Anan Wildlife Observatory? Just wondering what folks said about the new observatory deck built last year. By far, Anan was the best SS tour we ever experienced even though our jet boat failed on the return and went dead in the water. SS sent another boat to rescue us as we were about 25-miles out from the ship.
  10. Yes. Have you seen the load factors in their earnings reports?
  11. Great use of miles. Agree. Just booked the AA daytime flight LIM-MIA-STL in J for 42,500 over Easter break, which isn't the cheapest time to fly that route. UA wanted 90,000 and DL was proud of their 160,000 offer.
  12. Oh Jolly. I’ll always accept a free cruise on Silversea. Now, about those ducks… 🙄
  13. This is nothing more than letting his options vest and allowing a farewell tour with travel agents by Mgt. So, yes. As in last role forever, as an employee. But, there is always the hired for additional “consulting” phase. 😁
  14. Very true. In fact, if it weren’t for the shipboard experience, I know we would have never stepped foot on board again.
  15. Just imagine if CC was an actual social media site. Mysty’s restaurant would be trending by now and all the rage; The Nasty.
  16. It’s amazing what people think about Silversea’s dress code versus truly know. I don’t know what went on over 15-years ago before 2008, the year we started sailing Silversea, but the formal dress code has never been formal in every venue and certainly not all evening long. In fact, if recents reports posted here on CruiseCritic this year are true, formal has been relegated to just a select few dining venues. It seems for the vast majority, the demarcation line between formal and informal wear is no longer even based on garment, but rather whether a tie is worn around a gentleman’s neck, or not.
