  1. I was monitoring a cruise about two months ago at $3800 pp for balcony. When $1. Deposit came last week, the same balcony was $7100. Pp Next day after sale itwas $4850 pp. a lot of fudging with their numbers
  2. We did the ABC Islands on Reflection this year and were in DV 7208. It was an excellent cabin
  3. I just spoke to BCC. 0 wait time to be connected. Rep said the emails with no offer code that have been sent out today was a technical error and the hope to have it fixed by end of today so corrected one can be sent out. I also enquired whether free veranda offers were a thing of the past. He said free veranda offers still exist, and will be sent whenever they are released to BCC, depends on cabin vacancies and time of year
  4. We stayed in the infinite verandah on the edge in Feb/23. The A/C turns off when the window goes down, not when the bifold doors are open. And the A/C only comes back on when the window is closed not when the bifold doors are closed. I think what he is referring to in the video, is that if your room is cooled down, you can open the window and by closing the bifolds , the inside portion of the room will maintain its coolness longer while you are enjoying the veranda portion with bifolds closed. Hope this makes sense
  5. Yes, your point is well taken. Regardless of how I may have come across in my post, my wife and I do enjoy the ambiance as well. We do dress nicely(not tux) every night for dinner on a cruise. Someone said in the news the other day there are one set of laws/rules and they apply equally to everyone.
  6. Only sure way to be 100% accurate is to do one cruise on each one. I seldom pay much attention to reviews as their is no way to tell if the writer is being honest. I take all reviews with a grain of salt. I try not to spend my hard earned money on things that strangers rate. Now i do pay attention to reviews that friends write.
  7. Well although both cabins are prime verandas, 9278 is midship on the hump - a prime location. 9125 is completely forward . I prefer midship and midship in same category is usually a little more expensive than a forward cabin. If it were me , i would have my TA find out why the change and see if there is anything on the hump. However it is your call.
  8. Of course, if you unsubscribe from their emails, I believe that also unsubscribes you from any emails on promotional offers from the Blue Chip Club
  9. Silhouette has a British Isles cruise out of Rotterdam on may 13 and June 24, 2024
  10. Which ship was the reputable person on and which sailing. And did they report that it was not available or that it would not be available in the future? You say they are experiencing it. So does that mean they experiencing the current unavailability of it on their cruise or are they experiencing the rumour?
  11. If you have checked the box in your captains club profile that you would like correspondence from Celebrity, then you should get an email each time new power up points promo comes out. We do. Just got ours today
  12. On the Edge in Feb/2023, in infinite veranda , did not need key in to turn on lights . Is this just for Aft balconies?
  13. There lots of sunset verandas available on the Edge to Alaska in 2024. I just tried a mock booking and May 11/24 has one, May 17 has one and June 7 has five available. I didn't check other dates
  14. It is sad story, but personally, if my spouse died on a cruise, I would not put her in storage and continue with my cruise
  15. While gambling in the casino , if you access money from your onboard account, there is no fee if you are on slots. If you are on a table game , there is a fee unless you are comped or have a blue chip status high enough to exempt you from the fee. And for the poster who said they are not a member of the Blue Chip Club,- if you tapped or inserted your seapass card into the slot machine( which you would have to get cash from your account) then you are automatically enrolled in the Blue Chip Club.
  16. I take it you have never been in prison. 😊
  17. I enjoy their English Breakfast tea. Of course strength depends on how long you let it steep
  18. Most AC’s are designed to not operate below 60 degrees. Are you sure you got it down to 50 degrees?
  19. You can transfer money from your onboard account to a slot machine with no fee regardless of your casino status. You can also transfer money from your onboard account to a table game, but you will be charged a percentage fee, unless your status provides for waiving the fee. Almost all the slot machines onboard have the ability for you to do this transfer right at the machine by tapping your seapass card and accessing your onboard account with a password.
  20. So this thread is about one person getting covid out of 2900 guests on a ship. Why is this a concern. During on week in any town of 3000 people, how many people get sick?
