All true, but time will tell in the end. My opinion on “codes” if your going to in force one you need to in force all codes—the line or people shouldn’t be allowed to pick and choose. Reading the post, that just isn’t happening at this time.

Actually why should we care, as long as people are nicely dressed. People are on vacation and be able to enjoy themself. What someone wears at another table isn’t any of my business.

I don’t know, I think older ships have character and not so much glitz. That said we’ll be on Sliver Spirit and the new Silver Nova. But I really like the older ones. Guess we’ll see—-in your case you need to try it, only you will know, what someone else thinks isn’t that important in the final decision.

Nice review, thanks for your opinion- we will be boarding are first Silversea cruise in 2 months-cruised a lot of Regent and was hoping Silversea would be better.

I guess they can make an offer to all cruisers to accept a port that’s open like the Philippines to end the 1/5 and start the 1/19 cruises.

Less than 90 days until cruise time—-has anyone hear anything if it’s a go or cancelled cruise. Hong Kong still isn’t rally open yet. Thanks for the feed back, are TA said SS said they think it’s a go.

, remember that O prides itself on not having a class system of policies O does have a class system, when your in a big suite like Owner Suite (I guess others suite too), you don’t wait in line to check in-then find you, check you in, take to meet your Butler asap after check in. You don’t wait for a number to get on a the boats to take you to shore, dinner reservations are easy and a lot more.

If it was lost or whatever, you can make an appointment in Washington DC and get a replacement we’ll you wait—-it does cost a bit but it can happen.

We’ll hope you travels home work out better. Booking a cruise we always come in early and depart a day later. You never know and these days it’s even more important. Enjoyed reading your post, you really give the details in a fair entertaining way. Sorry about the show.

We cruise a lot of Regent, but will be booking a few Silversea cruises. I think it depends on your Suite, and the vice you get on the cruise (for that cruise). All three are good, We’ve had some great Regent cruise’s and some bad ones. Perks are good, but the Suites we book you get most perks as part of the suite-so those aren’t important for us to stay with one cruise line.

Did you book via a TA or did you book direct with Regent?

They say Hong Kong is going to open up very soon—-any comments regarding this as Silversea has a few cruises coming up that include Hong Kong. We’re booked on the Jan 5th cruise that end in Hong Kong.

At this point it’s not Covid, it’s poor management.

In France you scan you VAT papers and they credit your credit card—the credit show up within a day.

Stuff happens, we took this ship Japan to San Francisco years ago——had a great cruise, but I understand everyone has opinions and no one is wrong.

Just to let you know how much I enjoy your post—-it’s great to have someone report the great and good, but still reports the not so good. All in all it sounds like a wonderful cruise, enjoy. Thank you for taking the time from your trip to post.
