  1. Have you looked at Air Transat for BOD to YYZ flights?
  2. OK. Don't you need to have an Irish passport book in order to get a card?
  3. Eye witness 'evidence' suggests otherwise.
  4. I'd say it's a very good price. I did not expect the gratuities to be included.
  5. If the per person booking price for an inside cabin (includes ALL taxes and fees) is €1,500, I would say that is a very good price for this cruise.
  6. 'Economical' TA cruises are typically the ones at the end of the season that make the run from Europe to North America without stops in places such as Iceland and Greenland, which are often seen as unusual (more expensive) stops. So, you'd have to provide more detail on the cruise you are looking at to evaluate whether €1,500 per person is a 'good' price.
  7. The OP is doing a round trip; I'd say the side of the ship doesn't much matter and I don't expect you'd advocate starboard side Nbound and port side Sbound.
  8. That's not entirely correct. I can fly from YOW to/from Australia and New Zealand through EWR, IAD and ORD. The issue is, I cannot do it on Aeroplan points.... business class anyway.
  9. No, never went to the liquor store or carried wine onboard. Can't comment on that.
  10. 1. How do you know when that is? 2. Depends... if you book a promotion, good chance you'll lose any OBC if you try to get a better fare. 3. I pretty much agree with this one.
  11. I don't think it makes a whole lot of difference; since you're arriving late and, presumably, making your way to the port in the morning, the neighbourhood doesn:'t matter too much... you aren't going sight seeing. I like the Comfort Inn and Suites on the north side of MIA.
  12. I'm planning a YOW-AKL/SYD-YOW trip for 2025 so have been looking at this. I don't plan on using Aeroplan points but the search for 'deals' on fares is shared. What about routings through SFO and/or LAX on code share arrangements with United? Use the Aeroplan app to see what's available and in the Business Class choices scroll well down to see the offers through the US airports.
  13. Of course people can understand 'the math'! The tricky part is following/tracking the so-called advertised fare that will be subject to any discount(s).
  14. Maybe your TA is a boob. Why would he/she permit you to purchase something that pretty clearly wasn't available to you after October 16? Seems as though the manager knew this.
  15. Yes, the per person price reduction is 37.5% (or 75% for the second person); so that's not as good as 40% per person. Then, as you said, it kind of depends on what the base fare is from one day to the next. Finally, the per person taxes and fees are not subject to any price reduction and are added in at the end after they've done their hocus-pocus fare calculations.
  16. Getting to the lake requires transiting a set of locks.
  17. Is your only issue the Plus package or the cruise as a whole? As R&J asked, how far out is the cruise?
  18. That sort of depends on what the other person's plans are and the type of travel insurance they have if they decide to cancel.
  19. Make sure you have travel insurance; Princess won't be treating covid any differently than any other illness.
  20. You can pay cash.... €3 per person.
  21. I understand New Brunswickers can be sensitive to the spelling of Saint John; probably much like the people of Newfoundland and Labrador would like to see St. John's properly spelled. Imagine the problems with Sydney, NS and Sidney, BC.
  22. Right you are. Here is the website: https://cruisebus.barcelona/en/
  23. If you decide to stay over, I suggest you look for a hotel in the Cavendish Square area of the downtown.
