Astro Flyer Posted April 10, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted April 10, 2018 bummer looks like they are not opening the pacific coastal or MR on 4/19 like many (including me) had hoped for... Hopefully they’ll be available & are only not included in this one day early booking for elite level passengers. The first time this elite early booking was offered in December, as I recall it was for most cruises which were available the next day to the general public. Thrak Posted April 11, 2018 #5 Share Posted April 11, 2018 I remember them opening the February 2019 repositioning of Royal Princess to the West Coast a day early for Elites as well. It allows booking of desired cabins as long as you are Elite and ready to pull the trigger on booking.
paul929207 Posted April 11, 2018 #6 Share Posted April 11, 2018 This is an Elite perk that was added last December. Elites get 24 hours to purchase cruises before everyone else.

DrivesLikeMario Posted April 11, 2018 #10 Share Posted April 11, 2018 There's nothing to "unlock". You'll be able to book 24 hrs. prior to all other levels of Captain's Circle members. That's it. If you're Elite, you can book early. If you're not showing as Elite but are, get in contact with the Captain's Circle Desk and get it straightened out. satxdiver Posted April 11, 2018 #11 Share Posted April 11, 2018 On a cruise last month the Future Cruise person said that the fall 19 and spring 20 would be ready the middle of May. Now the policy is to let elite see the schedule 24 hours in advance. I have my FCD in hand and ready to see what is offered.
cruzsnooze Posted April 11, 2018 #12 Share Posted April 11, 2018 What a non perk that gives an illusion of value but costs Princess nothing. It's quite meaningless IMHO.
Go-Bucks! Posted April 11, 2018 #13 Share Posted April 11, 2018 What a non perk that gives an illusion of value but costs Princess nothing. It's quite meaningless IMHO. May not "cost" Princess anything, but can be valuable to passengers who want certain cabins or are booking on cruises in high demand. I think it's a nice perk. pms4104 Posted April 11, 2018 #14 Share Posted April 11, 2018 Priority boarding and tendering also cost Princess nothing ... also meaningless perk??? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J320A using Forums mobile app
paul929207 Posted April 11, 2018 #15 Share Posted April 11, 2018 What a non perk that gives an illusion of value but costs Princess nothing. It's quite meaningless IMHO. Here is an example of where the early booking for Elite can be very helpful. I am booked on a b2b2b TA on the Crown for September/October 2019. I would like to book the next cruise too. However, it is not available yet. By having the early booking I have an excellent chance to get the same cabin.
Rare Coral Posted April 11, 2018 #16 Share Posted April 11, 2018 Astro Flyer - I assume you have your TA on speed dial to book that World Cruise on 4/24!
Mud_Shark Posted April 11, 2018 #17 Share Posted April 11, 2018 To me this also seems like a worthless perk, but if some like it and plan to take advantage of it - please do so. We are not elite, but this does not in any way provide increased incentive to achieve the level. Don

Astro Flyer Posted April 11, 2018 Author #20 Share Posted April 11, 2018 Astro Flyer - I assume you have your TA on speed dial to book that World Cruise on 4/24! The closest I’ll get to a World Cruise was provided by the USN & I got paid for it. [emoji6] The twice yearly month long Round Australia cruise is very popular & sells out over a year in advance. Using this elite perk could be the best way for me to book it using a FCD.
