I was just thinking.

If you do not call and cancel your cruise, what happens to your deposit at final payment?

Refundable -

The deposit is returned to your credit card that the deposit was taken from?

Non refundable -

The deposit is lost?

If you have insurance and cancel, the insurance will reimburse you.

Insurance will cover the lost deposit if you reason for cancelling is covered. In other words, if you do NOT have cancel for any reason coverage, you may not get the deposit back from the insurance company.

Why I am asking, as a solo passenger (no one would not know about my cruises except travel agent) if anything happen (illness, accident) to me that I could not cancel before final payment, what would happen to my deposit?

At final payment date, if you don't pay, your cruise will be cancelled and your deposit returned to the original credit card. In the case of a nonrefundable deposit, you lose it.

or:

You would lose your deposit and your booking would cancel.

Read your cruise contract or the information the the company WEB site. It will tell you somewhere. Better yet, maybe you should not read your cruise contract as it will show you that you have absolutely no rights and the cruise company can do anything that they want and you have no legal recourse.

Princess cancellation schedule. As you can see, if you can't/don't cancel, you lose your deposit.

Days Prior to Departure......... Cancellation Charge Per Guest

Booking - 75 Days .....................No penalty

74 - 57 Days ..............................Deposit* Amount

56 - 29 Days ..............................50% of Total Charges

28 - 15 Days ..............................75% of Total Charges

14 - 0 Days ...............................100% of Total Charges

On some itineraries the final payment date is different.

They can charge the credit card that you made the deposit with.
