barbette165 Posted April 18, 2018 #176 Share Posted April 18, 2018 Just to point out that the regular scheduled spot for smoking is port side on Deck 6, but if the refueling barge is on that side it is moved to starboard side Deck 6. Everything correct, except deck 5 rather 6.
Esprit Posted April 18, 2018 #177 Share Posted April 18, 2018 (edited) - Passengers. The PAX on here are your standard TA passengers but I’d say of the three crossings we’ve been on this seems to be slightly younger. Though maybe we’re just getting older??? [emoji19] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Yeah, ageing aint funny! According to my DD you currently have 800 passengers aged over 75 on board. Beachlover1989 Posted April 18, 2018 #178 Share Posted April 18, 2018 My apologies for inundating all of you with a bunch of posts but given that I’m relaxing now I thought I would take this time to update you on some general observations of the cruise thus far. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I don't feel inundated at all! I excitedly await each post and picture! Keep them coming! Interesting stat! I’ve heard we do have 16 zeniths on board. Since we’re not in a suite we haven’t been in Michael’s but I’ve heard from our suite friends that it is quite busy this cruise. Lastdance Posted April 18, 2018 #180 Share Posted April 18, 2018 (edited) Hi Paul! Glad you are enjoying the good sea life with all the fresh air! So, is it possible to use a specialty dining package for Le Petit Chef? I was just wondering if this was the case or how payment works... I will never become Zenith, as they will raise the points before I get close. Also, the suite prices are going way up too! However, it is what it is and the new Edge cabins seem quite nice and of course very new!!!! Is it true about there being a.Tiffany's onboard, or is that just for Edge? I really thought it was on Reflection... Thanks, Suzy Sent from my iPhone using Forums Edited April 18, 2018 by Lastdance

The advertised cost is only $25pp right now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have no TA experience so is the standard TA passenger older? ;-) The sea stil doesn't look too rocky....enjoy the fresh air! :) I would love to be there, too. Are you already looking forward to the first port day? By the way, the weather in western und central Europe is quite nice at the moment. Sunny and temperatures of 20-26°C. StillLooking4Adventure Posted April 18, 2018 #183 Share Posted April 18, 2018 Thanks for the great review and updates. We are taking this TA the other way in October. For some reason you get one more port in Italy Westbound than we get East bound. No biggie, just interesting. Can you tell me if the app works for people who do no purchase the internet time? Do you find enough activities and entertainment during the 7 sea days? I was wondering if it less for a TA (Our first coming up) because they have to keep the entertainers on board for 7 days and not switch them out on port stops. Thanks Thanks

alicat2016 Posted April 18, 2018 #186 Share Posted April 18, 2018 Thanks for the heads up on the app! Looks pretty cool, we sail July on Reflection. App did give me a small heart attack though because it mentions a $7.95 fee for room service. I looked on web and it didn't say anything, I know RC charges so maybe its a glitch? I'm hoping!! Not that you exactly have to go far for food lol Any tips on getting served at Martini bar? seems you made quite the impression! We got ignored a couple of times so didn't really go back, mum loved the cocktails from world class and we both loved the atmosphere in Ensemble. We intend on trying a few more bars next time, never got to some of them :o Getting so excited, thank you for the photos can't wait to be "home" again. RodPat Posted April 18, 2018 #188 Share Posted April 18, 2018 I love your live blogs. We just got off Reflection when you were boarding. I am so jealous of everyone sailing on this TA. We did this same itinerary a few years ago on Reflection and loved all the ports. Enjoy every day and I will sail along with you from my desk here in the US. SeaHunt Posted April 19, 2018 #189 Share Posted April 19, 2018 Really enjoying your posts, really makes me feel like I am tagging along for the cruise! I just noticed the Caesar salad station today Oh this reminds me there was always a big bowl of anchovies for the Caesar salads on Reflection and Silly - and they were super yummy (well, as long as you love anchovies lol ;p)

chicagopaul Posted April 19, 2018 Author #192 Share Posted April 19, 2018 Good Morning Everyone. Well it wasn’t a great night at the casino but oh well, life goes on. It is a bit chilly by the pool bar this morning. Cloudy. Cool breeze. I’ll update you on last nights activities but first, the Daily for today. chicagopaul Posted April 19, 2018 Author #193 Share Posted April 19, 2018 It’s a bit lonely by the pool this morning. Before dinner last night we hit the martini bar, but early (around 5:45) as we had an early dinner at 7. We met up with our new friend Nina who I’m sure many of you may actually know. The bartenders continue to hit it out of the park. Last night, friends who we sailed with before who just happened to be on this cruise, invited us to their suite along with two other couples for dinner. They ordered appetizers and sushi from all the specialty restaurants and we had dinner and watched a movie. It was a perfect dinner and a movie night. They were in a Royal Suite so we had just the right amount of space. Of course seeing the RS again started bringing back memories! Ugh, how I wish we had that space again. After dinner the butler came and brought cookies and blueberry cobbler from Lawn Club Grill. I wish I would’ve taken photos as it was all a very nice spread. After dinner we headed to the martini bar since they had their big party with dancers behind the screens. Can you remember the name? It’s Society X presents “Mirage.” The martini bar was actually very crowded for a change! Everyone of all ages seemed to be having a great time. After martini bar we hit the casino. Single deck blackjack. I was even after an hour of play and all of us at the table decided to go to sky lounge. Despite the fact the bar looked closed with bottles put away, etc they were still serving drinks. After a short stint there we realized none of us like to dance and instead we prefer giving our money to casinos. So like good habitual degenerate gamblers we went back to the casino. No dealer was at the single deck table but they brought one out for us. Let’s just say I’m no longer even. After that wonderful experience we went back to the room. Checked social media and fell asleep. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
upwarduk Posted April 19, 2018 #194 Share Posted April 19, 2018 It is a bit chilly by the pool bar this morning. Cloudy. Cool breeze. Hopefully your weather will improve when you get to Tenerife. We were there in January and had temperatures in mid 20c. ( shame we had to come home to the worst winter for many years)

But I have to say I’ve met many people who have volunteered their age and no one looks it or acts like it. Clearly cruising keeps you young! Maybe it’s all the liquor keeping them looking good? Honestly, I’m not looking forward to the first port haha. I love the sea days! Though I am looking forward to less wind. I am very much looking forward to Barcelona again. Thanks Thanks My activities consist of eating, drinking, gambling and napping. So for me yes! Haha. In all honesty this cruise I thought all the podium speaker topics were interesting. I was hoping for a few more pool activities or activities around the pool in the late morning versus mid day. The casino has had a tournament each day. Trivia has also been plentiful though I haven’t joined in. Going eastbound losing an hour each day definitely tires you out and pushes you to lighten your daily schedule. Larbo03 Posted April 19, 2018 #198 Share Posted April 19, 2018 Hi Paul and Edward, we are Larry & Brent, also from Chicago on the Reflection TA this cruise. Just came across this thread, and look forward to crossing paths with you. We agree it's a great ship and are tempted to book it again, possibly for the WB TA in the Fall. Or maybe we'll do the Eclipse WB to Buenos Aires. Love the 7 days at sea, and 4 days of ports sounds like a lot of work! :)
