travellovers2 Posted July 29, 2018 #1 Share Posted July 29, 2018 The other day someone jokingly asked me: "do you have all our cruise cards to prove you have taken 34 cruises" Well yes we do! :D I have them all in order dating back to 2004 when we started to cruise. So far, 34 cruises on 9 different cruise lines. Before that we traveled on land, but once we took our first cruise, we were hooked. :DIt's wonderful to look back and enjoy the memories. Do you have all your cruise cards? :D
Bloodgem Posted July 29, 2018 #2 Share Posted July 29, 2018 I do not but my DS does. Like you he keeps them in order including the extra key cards.
travellovers2 Posted July 29, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted July 29, 2018 I do not but my DS does. Like you he keeps them in order including the extra key cards. I get rid of the extra key cards. Too much! :)
CreativeCruiser119 Posted July 29, 2018 #4 Share Posted July 29, 2018 Yes! I do keep them and will continue to collect. I view them as valuable souvenirs! Here are all my Royal Caribbean SeaPass cards from Monarch, Oasis, Allure, Liberty, Harmony and Freedom + my WOWband from Harmony - not a whole lot yet, but the collection will grow as time goes on! champagne123 Posted July 29, 2018 #5 Share Posted July 29, 2018 Yes! We create a photo album for each cruise and the cruise cards are on the first page.
Jeannie333333 Posted July 29, 2018 #6 Share Posted July 29, 2018 yep sure do. We keep them in a business card wallet, which we recently had to upgrade to a larger one to hold our 41 cards (82 for both of us) - all with Royal Caribbean. We love looking back at all the dates and colours of cards and reminising :) Jean & Graham

Hypo Posted July 29, 2018 #8 Share Posted July 29, 2018 We have all of them, except for one cruise on Adventure OTS. When we debarked that morning, their computer system was down, so they collected and kept our Seapass cards when we left the ship. We weren't too happy about it, but nothing we could do. atb Posted July 29, 2018 #9 Share Posted July 29, 2018 Our first cruises were on Princess and Crystal, with paper seapass, and extra room key. Only have a few of the paper seapass cards. I have album pages designed for business cards.
Rare island lady Posted July 29, 2018 #10 Share Posted July 29, 2018 The DH loves to keep them. He had to build a bigger box to hold them. ;) It's pretty funny to look back at some of the older ones.
Cinders411 Posted July 29, 2018 #11 Share Posted July 29, 2018 Yes, always keep them. I am getting quite a few now but, not as many as I still hope to acquire!
Robb Posted July 29, 2018 #12 Share Posted July 29, 2018 I have them all except for two cruises where they collected them as we got off the ship. And, our first cruise was in 1998 and was on a ship built in 1953 so we had actual keys to mess with, and a couple of river cruises we had real keys on. Getting ready for cruise number 71 so we have quite a collection, also have all the hotel key cards. I keep them in their proper photo album. Yes, I do albums still, for each trip.:cool::cool::cool:
ace1zoe2 Posted July 29, 2018 #13 Share Posted July 29, 2018 Yes. We have all from our 18 cruises so far. I punched a hole in each one and they hang on my “travel tree” each Christmas season along with all of the ornaments we have collected throughout our travels. Brings back lots of wonderful memories each year as I decorate the tree. Of course I have other traditionally decorated trees as well. cruiser123! Posted July 29, 2018 #15 Share Posted July 29, 2018 My daughter does. She hangs them in her wall. One fell off and our puppy chewed it to bits. Oops! I told her I’d take her in another cruise, and she’s no longer mad at the pup ;-)
TEGL Posted July 29, 2018 #16 Share Posted July 29, 2018 Nope. I hate clutter so I am a tosser of most all things that are not needed. My life is hectic enough with a house full of boys that anything more that I have to store/clean/organize is a no go for me. I shred them.
neverbeenhere Posted July 29, 2018 #17 Share Posted July 29, 2018 Have all of them except the cruises that you used to use a metal key or a plastic hole punched card (whatever those are called)
CruiseKeeper Posted July 29, 2018 #18 Share Posted July 29, 2018 We save them all, including those other cruise lines. With RCI's IT department being what it is, I would think these would come in handy should they lose everything.
Tatka Posted July 29, 2018 #19 Share Posted July 29, 2018 My husband does albums where he adds "artifacts" about our taken cruises. Several pages - print out of itinerary, daily paper, cards, excursion tickets if we have them, some photos. Comes handy at times.
Rare orville99 Posted July 29, 2018 #20 Share Posted July 29, 2018 Have them all hanging on ribbons our "cruise" wall along with the loyalty pins, photos, and other artifacts (like the solar glasses from the total eclipse cruise).:)
Rare LINDAE3213 Posted July 29, 2018 #21 Share Posted July 29, 2018 Mine are thumb tacked to a wood shaped ship that my dad handmade. After 20 cruises..I definitely need a bigger ship! My husband recently started cruising after we got married...his 6 cards are pinned to a wooden anchor shape that his dad made for him. We have a "pin" ceremony after each cruise where we attach the sea pass card....

I envision our sons cleaning out our stuff after we're gone, finding it, and going "WTH????"

lovescats5 Posted July 29, 2018 #25 Share Posted July 29, 2018 We always do a collage of the cruise and the cards are part of the collage. It is always fun to stop and look at all the fun memories hanging on the walls.
