Sexy?  To each his own.  My DH wasn't all that impressed either.  Very, very 80s.  Like I said, it reminds me of Jane Fonda in her exercise heyday.  Lycra and leg warmers.  I don't have to like it.  You do tend to defend the show quite a lot.  Most posts I've seen about it are not very positive.

You don't have to like it. Entertainment is very subjective. On this ship we get Grease. Guess what, it's very 50's. 😉

Personally,  I prefer the 80's. Brings back good memories.

As far as complaints,  psychology will tell you people tend to complain more than they praise.

Human nature.

But can we please move on from the CATS discussion.

Thanks

I started cruising on the 4th sailing of Premier Cruise Line. Early April 1984. Did a ton of Premier because I was working and didn’t have time for long cruises.

Then I started trying them all out and got to Princess in 1996. Sky was moving to Asia and we hit a 12 day Alaska Vancouver Vancouver.

That was a great cruise because we were able to visit Seward and see the Kenai peninsula by boat, Valdez, and every one of the Inside Passage ports. Lucky us!!

Our Sky debacle was in 1995. Our tenth anniversary.  It was a ten day partial transit of Panama Canal. Ended up doing a 3/4 b2b on Majesty cruise line

Yes. I am from NY, live in NJ, and have never seen it.

I was on the Greek Line ship Olympia in 1972 out of NYC if that counts for anything.

Enjoy the Harmony, John.

Ok now, let's fire up the Way Back Machine and go back to Tuesday August 6.

Breakfast in CK was very good, ordered an egg white omelet.  They tend to be smaller than regular, and I'm eating way to much as it is.

CK also has espresso drinks available, so I ordered a cappuccino.  I then floated my sugar on it so I can watch it sink through the foam.  It doesn't take a lot to amuse me.

BTW, it tends to be chilly up on 17, so we wear a sweater or long sleeve T shirt to breakfast.

So after breakfast we had to head back to cabin and change for the Top Tier party later that morning.  I also promised Lou we would go take some pics of him on FlowRider. Morning session starts at 9:00

You can't really compare the two.  Grease is a story that is set in the 50's.  No one knows when CATS is, except the costumes are very 80's.  I prefer the 70's and 80's for a lot of reasons, but CATS isn't one of them lol.   I love Grease. The movie came out when I was 18.  The trailer for the movie version of CATS is extremely creepy.  I can't believe they made a movie now and I think it will flop big time.  That audience is not today's movie audience.  I think they really missed the boat on that one.

Okay, it's your thread, but you do have to admit, whenever this topic comes up (which is has several times), you are one of the few who like it and defend it.

We're on Harmony in Nov on a b2b and can't wait.

We've only had dinner once in CK on Oasis.  We always stay in JS so we're limited.  Is the food that much better or is it just the service?  Our dinner was okay but not amazing.  I did like the CK location and service.

Flowrider time.

I'll try and get the schedule for rest of the week as well.

This is Lou. He has a very tiny board.  But they say size doesn't matter. 😉

Seriously,  I think that was a placeholder for the on deck rider. 😇

I felt bad that the pictures are so dark. We were headed into the sun that morning. My DSLR was all fogged up. Takes a while to acclimate.

I'll try again tomorrow.  The sun should be on my back

After FlowRider we headed to BW for Top Tier.  Laura took the shortcut.

I had to walk since I had the big camera with me.  So I stopped and took some pics of the non existent ocean views on Harmony

And of course the ugly purple monstrosity as seen from BW

Top Tier.

They treated us to a preview of Hideaway Heist. Lots of diving and synchronized swimming.

This is our Loyalty Ambassador,  Brano.

In addition to announcing Tier counts and top cruisers, he announced it was my birthday.

That was unexpected.

John, are you planing on eating at CP150? If so I would love a review of the food. Some of the reviews I have read range from great to terrible.

Probably not, I'm notoriously frugal. Izumi did us in.

We did do it back in February with the new menus.  I really enjoyed the new bread rolls and the scallop and corn appetizer.   If I go back I will ask for that to be my entree.  So good.

We did do PC lunch in 150 yesterday.  It was nice. More Bell Glos. Lots more. 🍷🍷🍷

Who cares about Oasis ocean views? The ocean is nothing more than just a lot of water anyway. If you want to look at water just fill up your bath tub.

You need to work on your sarcasm. I can probably help with that. 😉

Some of the food is better, the service is a little better. It can be very relaxed or a madhouse.  The view is generally very nice.

That being said, some of the menus aren't our cup of tea. Really dissapointed in the second lunch menu, days 5-7, and the kiddie menu.
