Our brochure has arrived up to 2022

We received the full brochure too. Registered an interest in a Jan 2022 cruise. Never booked anything so far in advance. Still looking though.

Possibly because once fluid pricing kicks in it will be out of date, and will act as a reminder of how much they have increased.

Or to stop arguments with people who demand they get the price shown in the brochure.

The European summer 2021 collection is very lame indeed - ships on repetitive itineraries, same ports over and over again.

 

The larger ships have limits to where they can go, and the Aurora, Arcadia, and/or Oceana need to be sent  out on unusual voyages to some off the beaten path places, White Sea, Greenland,Black Sea to name but three.

We've pre-registered for B118 14 nights Mediterranean in the main summer school holidays and are delighted that there are 3 ports which are new to us (Alicante, Villefranche and Ibiza). We're also really happy that the last port is Lisbon rather than Gibraltar (nothing wrong with the latter but Lisbon gives us far more choices of things to do ashore with our son). In terms of prices we're paying £320 more than our 2020 booking (same ship, same cabin, similar itinerary) so we're okay with that too.

Just to double check. If we know exactly what cabin we want is pre registering of any use as it seems to us that you are allocated a cabin. Just checking as we have seen a cruise we really like the look of on Azura but having been on the ship before we know exactly where we want our cabin to be (or even which one).

 

Not sure if this makes sense. Thanks everyone :-)

The one we have always used has gone bump and the member of staff no longer works there despite the branch being taken over by another travel agency. I suppose we look elsewhere, but there are times like this when I really miss my team at my former TC branch :-(

 

My brother used one last year and though he pre registered he got the cabin next door. That is ok for where he is on the ship but for us that would not be acceptable at all as we want an aft cabin and some are fabulous and some rubbish (despite being next door to one another)

You can give a TA your preference of cabin numbers, they usually ask for 4-5 in order of preference. So whilst it's no guarantee you'll get your first one the chances are pretty high for one of those you pick.

White Sea?  Do you mean Alta?  That’s not on the White Sea

Sorry, John......if you've ever been over to their place, though, you'll see there's plenty of room for expansion.  It's very impressive, the staff are delightful, and when we called in recently we were treated like royalty.  Lovely people, superb and efficient service.

Same here my OH was the TA and left just before the collapse. We are now looking elsewhere. We are not impressed with the new P&O itineraries so not sure what we will do yet.

I agree, I don't like the ships all doing the same itineraries each year! If I wanted a 7 night cruise I've only really got the choice of Oceana to Iberia or Iona to Norway!

Surely the issue is that there are only a limited number of places that are viable within 3 days sailing distance of Southampton?

Agreed it would make a pleasant alternative to always having Gibraltar fulfil the duty free call.
