This will likely be a slow start, as we get things in order over the next 24 hours for the CruiseCritic group events.

We had originally booked an M8 minisuite, and our adjusted fare after the itinerary change was $2300.  Our successful bid to H5 was $3190, so our all-in fare was $5490.  This was an aggressive bid, as there were only 4 x H5s left.

More to come. Posting live from the Encore  11/2.  One last time...

What does one last time mean?

We have upgraded for the Encore NYE. If no more VC will be getting a refund.

We may be to blame.  We went through 13 bottles of Veuve on the Epic in September.

Very interesting, not something I'd be a fan of. How was it? Would you do it again?

They use a quadrant system where each corner of the dance floor plays a different era of music: 80s, 90s, 2000s and current. I suppose that adds another dynamic, as people move around as the songs change.

It’s definitely fun the first time, but I’m assuming it’s a fixed soundtrack that doesn’t change all that often - or am I wrong in thinking that?

The seas have definitely settled down, and we have a relatively peaceful day ahead with Deb’s LCR game and Tammy’s Chocolates of the World.

Tonight we’ll be dining with friends at Los Lobos.

Off to breakfast to find an iced coffee...

I’m sweating on a cruise ship.

Deb’s LCR game had a turnout of 72 people, and of course Cagney’s wasn’t setup as requested.  So we scrambled and cleared 25-30 tables and snaked them through the restaurant.

Once the game started up (actually two games), Dave and I wandered the ship gathering clues for the Running of the Encore scavenger hunt.

Dropping down to the Garden Cafe for a quick bite before Chocolates of the World starts up at 2 PM.

Aren't you in the Haven?  I only drink black iced coffee.  Each night the bulter would bring in a small pressed coffee still in the machine and leave out for me to put in my fridge (sometimes it was hot when they bring so we let it cool off first).  I would start each day with a cold pressed coffee over ice, so yummy.  Otherwise, they would take regular coffee and put over ice, which just is not good.  Go enjoy a great iced coffee tomorrow and get the pressed tonight for your fridge!

Thank you again for all the pictures!

I've done the silent disco on the Bliss one night on my February cruise, and two nights on my October cruise.  I didn't realize the quadrant system was in place in February (came directly after teppanyaki with lots of SAKE BOMBS), but in October it ended with everyone hearing Don't Stop Believing followed by Livin' On a Prayer, so if that's how it ended on the Encore, it might be the same.

I can’t believe that they didn’t have Cagneys set up for you. Seems like the assistance for your gatherings and events so far has been poor .....

...especially for a group that active and with as many participants.
