Love new perks when I level up in tier but not feeling much excitement with Elite Plus

I'm not Elite Plus yet but not anxiously looking forward to it like I was for Elite and Sapphire (casino).

With Elite, I got access to free breakfast at Tuscan restaurant. My favorite part of that is the free smoothies. (Wish I could get free smoothies anywhere at any time.)

Also, one free bag of laundry.

Then I became Sapphire in the casino.

- Free unlimited internet

- free classic drink package at any bar and restaurant at any time. (No longer limited to when the casino bar is open, which is when not in port.)

- access to the suite lounge/Michael's club/The Retreat (edge ships) mainly for free specialty coffee.

With Elite Plus, the only benefit to me is an additional bag of laundry.

I don't drink specialty coffees in restaurants or buffet.

Am I missing any useful perks to look forward to?

No, I don't think you're missing anything.   The difference between Select and Elite is profound.  The difference between Elite and Elite + is meh.  What we like best is the free cappuccino in Al Baccio and the 240 mins of Internet.  Neither of these will be of interest to you.

It's true that the extra benefits of going from elite to elite+ are nothing much, at least in the chart.  My question about this is whether there is a difference in benefits outside the chart, like how you get treated if something goes wrong, access to deals that they don't tell others about, and so on.  If anybody has hard info on this type of thing, from actual experience, I'd be interested and I'm sure I'm not alone.

For those of us without casino benefits, it's nice to have the free coffee's, teas, extra internet and laundry benefits. Celebrity does duplicate benefits. We usually are in suites and we end up with benefits that overlap, making them less valuable.

Every time I have the occasion to phone Celebrity about something, the conversation usually ends in "Is there anything more I can do for you?"  And I say, "Yes, please ask Celebrity if they will give us another tier between Elite + and Zenith!"  Invariably I get a chuckle.

We have been elite + for years and are not aware of any additional benefits besides the few that are listed.

We do not recall being treated any differently as elite + since we have always been treated very well on Celebrity cruises, even from our very first cruise when we were in an ordinary balcony cabin and had no loyalty status at all.

So if we have been missing out on any additional elite + benefits that we don't know about, I hope someone will tell us about them.

For those without Casino or suite benefits the bump up...esp in Internet mins  is probably most welcome!

How do you get any status with the casino?  Do you have to sign up of is it automatic by using your sea pass card?

Yes, it is automatic thru your SeaPass card.  Pretty simple with the slot machines since you insert your SeaPass card.  At the tables, you have to present your SeaPass card to the dealer to have your play rated.

Thank you for the info.  I've always used my sea pas card in the slots but have never received any indication of a status level...guess I'm not a big enough whale 😉

Like your Captains Club status, your Blue Chip Club tier is printed onto your SeaPass card and on your Xpress Pass.

I see where it says Select on my sea pass card but nothing regarding casino.

I don't know why.  Ours is printed adjacent to our CC status.

Interesting.  Guess I will have to investigate further.  Thank you!

We don't gamble except to participate in Slot Pulls and when they load $5 onto everyone's cards, so we probably will never advance in levels, but our cards do say "Pearl," which is the lowest level.

We are not treated any differently as Elite+ than we were when we were simply Select.  Our stateroom attendant acted so impressed by it, the friends we were sailing with thought it was some big deal!   As much as we would like to think loyalty matters, it really makes no difference to Celebrity imho.

The benefits to the Saphire level far exceed any of the benefits of the Captains Club (unless of course you are Zenith).

yeah, i wish if there was overlap that we can trade in the benefit for obc.

ie: since i have free unlimited internet because i'm sapphire (casino), then i would like the option to trade in the 90min free internet you get as Elite.

Our elite + perks are  better than our 3 star mariner perks on HAL cruises . That being said ,imo both lines are great to  take cruises  .Princess is another very good main stream  cruise line  .There we are just ruby going to the next level shortly  .

Just wished that X would sail more from California ports   .

We are booked B2B April 19 ,2021  Reflection TA cruise &  the May 5 ,2019 British Isles cruise on same ship

I really don't understand the cavalier attitude of management to totally ignore another level between 750 and 3000. Getting to 750 was a perfect way to secure loyalty. Once we got that we really would look at X first of all. Denying other cruise lines even though we had sailed them before. Itinerary, if X did not have a particular cruise. We love these perks and would also love to have another attainable status to strive for.

Bah, humbug!

Celebrity is trying to reward frequent cruisers and Casino regulars and there are complaints!

If you have a foot in two camps then there will be duplication of perks and if you cruise in a suite there will be triplication (if there is such a word)!!!

We are simply grateful for the perks that have value to us like the Elite breakfast and an occasional visit to the cocktail hour...We are E+ will never make Zenith but who cares!

We found it a big step up reaching Elite +

the benefits are fantastic especially when embarking, tendering, and dining for the priorities when they ask for all Elite + to come to the front to be first in line. 🤗

or being at a crowded bar and the BT asks if there are any Elite + so they can be served first.  🙄

Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
