I would eat the whole cauliflower and be happy. I love roasted cauliflower.
And everyone knows I love chopped chicken livers…better than chocolate!

I've become a bigger fan of cauliflower recently.  We'd eat steamed cauliflower and it was perfectly fine.  Not my favorite, but not something that I'd leave on my plate either.  Roasted cauliflower is much better, and Micheline has started putting cauliflower into a food processor and turning into a mashed potatoes like texture.  We'll eat that instead of real mashed potatoes.  Tasty.

Oh where to begin.

Well a good place would be at the beginning.

I am sure people remember hurricane Charlie on Friday the 13, 2004. Our DD was only 10 when we evacuated safely. She was so mature and when we got home we said. “ ok she is showing responsibility so we will get her a kitten that she has been asking for”. We had to wait till spring and in April of 2005 Miss Carrie joined the family.

Her life existed with Christina non stop. In fact we would tell people Carrie did not walk the first two years of life, she was carried everywhere.

Then in 2013 Christina went off to college and we inherited Carrie. It took awhile but soon she was my best bud. Always around wherever I was in the house. She would even sneak under the covers at night. My lover girl. But when the DH would catch her and put her at foot of bed and she would stay there till morning.

Now to the present.

This past Tuesday she didn’t eat her dinner, started throwing up. I’m thinking hair ball. Medicated.
Wednesday still throwing up. Eating very little. Not drinking.  I went to store and bought her new food and the treats she likes. Still sleeping with me.
Thursday. Very sluggish slept all day. Ate a few treats. Slept with me.

Today. Lethargic, wobbly on feet. Can hardly notice if any food out of bowl. Definitely not perky. Weight loss evident.

She just turned 17. And in my heart I know it is only a matter of time. No heroics are planned.  Just comforting and tons of snuggles.

Now, I’m crying. Yea to some she is only a cat. But to me she is the child my daughter raised.

I know it is only a matter of time.

Sad in Ohio.

I was watching a doco on The Royal Train and it had footage of the Queen in her carriage with several of her Corgis.  Very sweet.  And who can forget The Queen and Daniel Craig as James Bond with the corgis for the London Olympics.

I watched the doco in the last year and enjoyed all the information and "behind the scenes" of how they travel.    My Mother has always been fascinated by the Queen and the Royal Family.

We are visiting our daughter in Chicago in a few weeks and she sent me links to a few restaurants. I had to choose one that had my husbands favorites, chopped chicken liver and fried bologna sandwich.

I usually hate lines but not in this case. Have a great cruise OB. Looking forward to seeing your pics of some good cocktails you will be having. Cheers to you and bon voyage!

I'd like to get the full Survivor experience, just to see how Survivor life really is as compared to what we get to see for an hour each week.  I love Jonathan and it would be great to see him win.  He seems to be able to do everything, is an absolute beast when it comes to challenges, has some humility, and is a genuinely nice guy...a combo not often seen.  Every week, he does something that makes you say "wow"...like taking over shooting of the balls and making 5 straight for the win.  If I was playing, he'd be my absolute first target after the merge because he is such a threat.  There was a little bit of talk about voting him out last week but there didn't seemed to be any talk of him this week.

Every season, so many contestants seem to let their own emotions and ego get in the way.  "So and so back stabbed me 2 weeks ago and he has to go".  Back stabbing is part of the game.  Why take it so personally?  Why not use it strategically?  Boston Rob seemed to be the master at that.  Maybe that's easier said than done when living in those conditions.  Or maybe a lot more of that is happening and the show's producers are only showing me what they think will make for good TV.  The show has been on for so long now that they obviously know what people want to see and are very good at delivering it.

I am surprised that Jonathan has not been voted off yet.I thought he would have won the last challenge.I have several friends who are retired NYC Police officers and NYC Firefighters and I always root for people who have those jobs especially those who live in NY or NJ .That is why I am rooting for Mike. However,I believe that Jonathan is the best player of the game.

That was a double wow moment for me.  When the other group came from behind and hit 4 in a row I thought big comeback!  Then Jonathan hits 5 straight!  Double wow! 😯 😮

Hugs to you, I was there as well with my kids cats.  Even though my daughters cat was older, my sons was the first to go just a few months after he left for college.  It was right before parents weekend so we were able to tell him in person.  Daughter left her cat with us even after college as her now husband is allergic and they were moving in together.  I was surprised how hard it was to say goodbye to each of them, they were our last pets.

The "problem" with chopped chicken liver is that pictures of it don't look, how shall we say it delicately, "appétissantes" [or enticing in English??]. Hubby's "version" is more like terrine...

In an "effort" to "convert" you, @aussielozzie18, he staged his "version" for you, hopefully in an "enticing" way 😉.

Our 16 year old granddaughter is in the hospital in the Dominican Republic with a stomach virus.  She traveled there with her girlfriend  Bella and Bella's family.  The entire family had been sick all week, and Ava was the last to get it, and obviously the worst.  She has been in the hospital for the past 2 days and will be there overnight as well with an IV to keep her hydrated.  Bella's family has been with Ava the entire time in the hospital.  They are supposed to all fly home tomorrow, God Willing.  🙏🙏

Prayers gratefully accepted❤️

If there are strength challenges coming up he should win them all.

We will likely cruise in the Retreat, so I'm trying to understand the different suite options.  Looks like the Sky suite is the entry level and would be roughly on par with a Royal JS for size...just with full suite amenities.  The Celebrity Suite would be more like a Royal GS and the Royal Suite would be more like an Royal OS.  It's hard to tell from their website so I'd love to hear from anyone who has experienced any of these Edge class suites and can compare.

We sailed in a sky suite on Edge last November and loved it.  The room was comparable to a RC JS but the bathroom was much nicer.  It was nice to have all the suite perks and only pay for a “JS”.  The Retreat was really nice.  A small breakfast buffet with a server bringing coffee or other drinks.  There was a covered patio with both tables and comfy chairs.  The server would check frequently to see if you wanted anything.  The pool deck was one floor up.  We even had lunch one day at the cafe there.  They came around in the afternoon with fruit ices.  Service everywhere was great.  The only thing we weren’t impressed with was the entertainment.

That would be a tough situation.  I hopes she feels better soon and they are all able to fly home safety.  🙏
