Royal Caribbean Cruisers -- How Are Things Where You Are? (was "Routine" 😁 day in lockdown... how was yours?)

I wondered about that too. I know most of the breeders all know one another through AKC (American Kennel Club) so if they saw an ad for someone selling puppies they could track them. We actually had some one we knew with a female offer to have us breed with our male and split the profits on the puppies but we declined the offer as it would be breaking the contract and illegal even though you could make a lot of money..

I never bred my Weimaraner even though I could have. She had one heat cycle and she was off the the vet....

Thank you Dani!  Our plan for Portofino was also to visit Santa Margherita Ligure.  Were the shops closed due to the day of the week or was it the time of day you were there?

The time of the day. Usually between 1pm and 3.30pm. Some even close at noon.... We laughed among ourselves - 2 big ships in port, with thousands of eager tourists to spend some money, but the Italians stick to their "dolce vita".... Long lunch break/afternoon nap.... you name it....

Maybe we’d be better taking the ferry to SML first,

The first ferry to SML is ONLY at noon, hourly.... With so many people in Portofino, long lines to embark and disembark, we got to SML almost at 1pm.

From SML to Portofino, the last ferry I'd recommend taking is at 3.15PM. The one at 4.15PM will be cutting it too close. We took the 2.15PM, were in the tender line back at 3PM.

If you manage to get to Portofino early (which was not closed as SML for lunch/nap), might check taking the bus or taxi to SML and come back by ferry.

People I've been talking to said they spent the whole time in Portofino, going to [expensive] beaches.

then explore Portofino in our return.
What did you do in Ajaccio? I think we’ll just take the Little Train Tour, then explore the town.

Went to the local market, then slowly explored the two main streets, enjoyed an ice cream.

I very much wanted to take the local bus, #5, to see the views of the "Illes Sanguinaires", since the Little Train Tour doesn't stop enough there, but, being a very hot day, DH vetoed my plan....

He was still fuming that I've made him climb many steps to the Castello Brown, and it was more important to me than Ajaccio, so I let it go............ Choosing my battles after 50 years of marriage 😉

Most importantly, how is your cousin doing?

Indeed, it is.

Olivia got home yesterday, after 10 days in hospital. The surgeons took no chances and removed also the lymphatic nodes along with her lung lobe. ALL IS CLEAN and she doesn't need any treatment!!!

First time I've actually spoke with her, instead of her boys and DH. She was ecstatic, like being born again. She claims that our cruise had a big part in her deciding to speed up all the tests, and so the "spot" was removed timely.

We felt awful flying out while she was in ICU. Glad that the initial news were good, so we could relax and enjoy the rest of the cruise.

Our day started out really foggy.  Like Renee said, the Captain kept blowing that fog horn.  We were delayed by an hour and a half.  But the fog lifted and it turned out to be a really nice warm day.

I always wondered what happens if you don't follow through. It would be awfully traumatic to the dogs for someone to show up and reposses them like the guy on TV that repos airplanes and RVs!

I'm sure you could actually get away with breeding them you would just not be able to sell the puppies with papers showing they were purebred which I'm sure would decrease their value.

I Can  get chips though in the Casino right, then later on in the night cash the chips out for cash? I can do that with no fee can't I ?

Yes or you can also take money out via the slot machine with no fee.

Just as a point of interest... I have been limited to a Max of $500 per cruise. Since I only play table games, I was told that I need to put at least $250 back through a slot machine in order to have access to another $500.

That’s fantastic news Dani!

I guess we will see how the day goes in Portofino.  If the weather is good, maybe take the ferry to SML just for a scenic ride, with no expectations.
It is important to choose those battles, isn’t it 😉

A question for the regulars in the casino...  I just checked my points at clubroyaleoffers.com and it still shows 0 points.  I didn't gamble a tonne on Navigator last month but I should have accumulated some points.  We disembarked August 25th. It's been just over two weeks since we got off the ship.  How long does it usually take for you points to update?

You can use your seapass at a slot machine.  Insert your card into the slot or tap it, depending on the machine.

I can walk you through step by step when I'm on Serenade on Tuesday.

Its easy to do.

We had a 20 or 30 minute delay due to our plane arriving at Trenton Airport from Orlando later than expected.

Boy Trenton Airport sure is easy peasy.  Frontier premium seating very nice too.  We will definitely fly this again.

It is hot hot hot in Tampa.  We just came back from a walk along their Riverwalk.

20230910_153201.thumb.jpg.04130e34e34bcf5347aaaf53a221e0d1.jpg20230910_154315.thumb.jpg.f5a27fc02a81dd5437c7a14a351e57ee.jpgVery nice area but we were dripping sweat on our way back.  I thought I would go to the pool but too hot to do that today.

We may try the free trolley tonight and see what we find for dinner.

Good to hear that all went well with your flight.  Is the Trenton Airport very small?

What do you do put your card in, select a certain amount  and then cash out without even pulling handle or pushing the button one time?

Yes,  The cashier desk has little cards with instructions they hand out but basically you put your card in the machine, select “account” on the screen.

The first time you will  need to set your PIN.  It will first ask for your password which is you month and day of birthday (MM/DD).  After you enter that you can set your PIN.

Once PIN is set you go back to account and select transfer.  This will charge whatever amount you choose to the room.  You can immediately cash out and take the slip to the cashier’s desk.

 $500 is the limit

This is how it was on Liberty last week.
