They took the card from us when we got off the ship, so we could not reboard the ship on disembarkation day. Had I know this was going to happen I would have had a new card made a day earlier to replace my “lost”😉 card.

Rare A&L_Ont Posted October 1, 2023 #104480 Share Posted October 1, 2023 A few other photos from the day here. I had to take care of this at my mom’s. I escaped without a scent. It was around 75F. Pool is 80 and it will remain open for a week. Dinner tonight. I was only able to eat half the steak.

Rare aussielozzie18 Posted October 1, 2023 #104484 Share Posted October 1, 2023 Good morning. 1st day of daylight savings today. Midday temperature is 95f (35c). This morning before it got too hot, we drove up to the Central Coast and did a bushwalk in the Brisbane Water National Park. We walked from the small waterfront village of Patonga to the beautiful and very popular beachside holiday destination of Pearl Beach and back (4.3km each way). Patonga View from the lookouts looking down at Patonga Distant view of Barrenjoey Headland (Palm Beach) mid point of the walk Once we arrived at Pearl Beach, saw this community piano in front of someone’s home. There was an art show on at Pearl Beach which I wouldn’t have mind exploring but the Rugby League Grand Final is on today which half of Sydney will be watching including DH, so after rest, our packed lunch and ice-blocks we did the return walk back up the top and then back down the stone steps to Patonga. 18

The drive wheels change the direction by rolling at different rates (or in different directions) -- like how a tank or bulldozer with tracks instead of wheels would do. And the non-drive wheels, instead of turning left and right like the front wheels of a normal wheelchair (or like on a shopping cart/buggy), the front wheels themselves are made of a bunch of side-spinning discs. The front wheels always stay facing front-to-back, and the wheel material itself spins from side to side. It's hard to explain in words, but hopefully this picture helps: When the chair is going forward, the whole wheel turns like a normal wheel. When it's turning (based on different turning rates of the back wheels), the little individual discs on the front wheel that are in contact with the ground spin left or right. Everyone who sees it for the first time is blown away, because it looks so weird to have a wheel facing straight forward while the chair itself is turning. Lots of "oh wow!" or "that is so cool!" comments or just dropped jaws.
CrzLvr2 Posted October 1, 2023 #104486 Share Posted October 1, 2023 @dani negreanu So sorry that you and your hubby were not feeling well during and after your much anticipated visit with your son and his family. And then to have dear hubby spend time in the ER and hospital!! Oh my!! Praying that your hubby feels better soon and that your cousin, Olivia, continues to make progress and that her baby steps become giant steps towards full recovery. Take care, Sue 🙏🏼 5

I'm getting better about throwing things out (or not purchasing things I don't actually need), but I still have a long way to go. Fortunately, I've never gotten to the point that you had to walk on stuff in my house, or there were vermin everywhere, etc., like you see on the Hoarders tv show. I will admit to watching that show to feel better about my own limitations, though.... I can always say that I'm not THAT bad, compared to others!!! 7

I was diagnosed with TMJ many years ago and a few times I woke up with jaw pain and temporary dislocation due to clenching my teeth while I was sound asleep. Thank goodness my jaw never got stuck for as long as yours has though! You must be sooo uncomfortable! 😔 Take care, Sue
Rare Momof3gurlz Posted October 1, 2023 #104494 Share Posted October 1, 2023 Good morning from the Edge docked in Ajaccio, Corsica, FR. The ship is beautiful. I love the Infinite View Veranda, it makes the room feel so much bigger. Andy’s not crazy about it. We’re impressed with Celebrity so far in almost every aspect. The only negative is I cannot access these boards using ship WiFi. All other websites are fine and I can get to any other area of CC, but if I click on ‘Boards’, it completely freezes. I’m on now because we’re in port using our 5G. I’ll visit the internet desk later because this happened last year on Voyager and they changed a setting in my phone which took care of it. Photos later today, we are off to explore Ajaccio. @dani negreanu I’m so sorry your DH was in the hospital and hope he’s on the mend. I was getting worried that we hadn’t heard from you but now understand why. 20

Our daughter is the same way.

I tend to look at things in terms of their parts, and if any of those parts would be useful. I have taken apart so many things, and the get sorted into different parts bins to be used for repair to other things. I don’t remember how many times I have been asked “Do you have something to fix this?”, and usually the answer is yes.
