I am a long way off having grand-kids but all you wonderful grandparents inspire me with the lovely activities you do with you gorgeous grandkids.

DS now has a French-Canadian girlfriend.  DH is getting way ahead of himself with plans for when she visits Australia and I said to my friend today that I hope the relationship lasts the distance for many reasons, one of which would be giving me an excuse to visit Quebec again….

Last day of the long weekend.  It was a relief when the cool change blew through last night after a hot Sunday.

Today, I took my girlfriend on the Milsons Point to Waverton Walk along the harbour, stopping by Wendy Whiteley’s Secret Garden on the way.  It was a lovely day for a walk.

Patti, it was at the Paradise Ridge Winery in Santa Rosa.  This was what we had to cross to get there.

Looks like you probably drove past my son’s place to get there.  We cross GG every time we visit him.

We saw a lot of nice photos of their outing yesterday in Sonoma.  They were eating at Folktable, near the airstrip for the vintage aircraft.

We have had a couple of challenges on this trip.  We stayed at the Marriott last night before flying out.  We had booked the correct hotel but wrong location.   We spent an hour on the phone with Chase  getting it all corrected. Hard understanding their accents.  Sad thing is Marriott did not have a problem correcting it from the beginning.

Today we checked my rollator in at the gate like we did last time flying.  This time they said when we get to Houston we will have to pick up the rollator at luggage pickup and not the gate.  When we arrived in Houston we wanted to make sure we were correctly informed so we asked a stewardess and the guy that loads stuff at the gate and both said we will get it at luggage pick-up.   After waiting and hour at luggage pick-up they brought it down to us.  It sounded like we could of got it at the gate.

I will feel better when we are sailing away tomorrow.  Let's hope tomorrow goes smoothly.

I usually see folks with rollators or chairs get a luggage tag at the gate then are escorted to board the plane with the item.

Once on the plane crew then take the item to be loaded on plane with the luggage then stewardess/flight attendant Has item retrieved and ready for you to exit the plane so you have it to walk to baggage claim area.

Try that on your way home.

@Momof3gurlz Please post what the internet desk tells you to do to enhance your service.  I’ve had to just adapt recently to not looking at Cruise Critic while onboard Celebrity as I can’t see the pictures or post.

FYI there is a large drawer under the sink in the bathroom and a hair dryer inside.  And what I love about the Edge Class is those are real King size beds!!!

Oh my gosh, I had a minor panic when I couldn’t find the hair dryer anywhere!  Had to flag down our room attendant who showed me the secret drawer.  I haven’t made it to the internet desk yet, but will let you know for sure when I do.

Classic will not let you do all that. We upgraded.

We have only Classic with the ‘All Included’.  If upgrading to premium is required for accessing this board then I’ll only be posting while in port on my AT & T 5g.
Today was Portofino Italy.  Such a beautiful little town to wander.  And if you happen to be a millionaire, there’s some nice shopping here - Louis Vuitton, Balenciaga, Dior, etc.  I guess if you own one of the luxury yachts docked in the marina, you need to wear the designer stuff.
@Coralc  also wanted to mention, I wore sneakers with my flowered dress in Rome. It’s a thing now and I honestly think I’ve seen more women (of all ages) in casual dresses with sneakers or flat sandals than in shorts.  I found the lightweight fabric to be very comfortable in the heat.

The Mets fired Showalter. If they tradevAlonso I will no longer root for the team that I have been rooting for since 1962.

This is a good omen for the Mets. Whenever a team fires Buck Showalter, they either win the World Series the following year (1996 Yankees, 2001 Diamondback) or at least make a deep playoff run (2010 Texas Rangers....okay, it was 3 years after the firing).  Two years after being fired from the Orioles, they are looking pretty strong this year.

Coincidence?  Maybe. Or he installs a winning culture in the clubhouse that future teams benefit from. How does the old saying go? "Always an Empire builder but never the Emperor".

I think Showalter did a better job with the roster that he had than Yankees Boone , would love to see both Boone and Cashman fired .

If the Yankees fire both Boone & Cashman, that would be better than winning the World Series.  Time for a new regime, the old one isn't working very well.

I hope he doesn't even get back on Tv for at least 2 or 3 years from now. Don't want to see him next year at all.

Do you not like his folksy grandpa-like ways when giving post-game interviews or analysis? It can be quite entertaining.

@LuckynanaDS is 12 months into a 2 year Canadian visa.  He is currently on a extended vacation with the group of Canadian friends he made whilst working over summer.  Halifax is one of their stops on their holiday.8435F4F5-124D-43A4-B408-29777E051E23.thumb.jpeg.4087abc97b173e53cbf011b8d2e36d3c.jpeg

Our stop here(Halifax) got canceled on the way to Greenland, would rather had skipped the Manhattan over night stop and went to Halifax for the day.

okay, thanks!

I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing out on any juicy drama that might be happening on the main boards. 😉😇

I couldn't get into the Royal is the Worst for Missing Atlantis thread but at least the renaming of the Diamond Lounge & Merging Loyalty programs with Celebrity threads is providing some entertainment.  Some people have come up with interesting scenarios given that there is almost no information given out yet. And I thought I had an over active imagination. 😄
