Sailing out of San Francisco was not as pretty as a few weeks ago.  Not only fog, but it started raining…. hard. I’ve never seen Deck 15 clear so fast. 😹

Good morning.  It’s a beautiful day on the Sapphire Coast of NSW.  Today, we did a guided bushwalk.  8 of us from Sydney and 1 young crew member.  
 

We were walking single file through the bush, myself second from the end and the crew member at the rear.  We suddenly stopped.  A Kangaroo and her Joey were in the bush ahead.  The crew member whispered to me “this is my first time seeing a kangaroo” 

 

I said, go up to the front.  Big smile from all of us as he quietly moved up to join our guide at the front to have a closer look.  Joey then decided that mum’s pouch was safest place to be but couldn’t work out how to get in…

 

 

Tonnes of kangaroo poo everywhere.  Asked our guide how many kangaroos are in this location.  A mob of approx 100.  
 

 

He said when taking another group of cruisers on the walk, he was disappointed for them that he didn’t see any where we had but when they reached the rocky beach above, there were 40 on the beach.

 

Morning tea break.  Put on by our guide and his partner.  A young couple who have been running the company for four years through Covid lockdowns & bushfires.

 

Lots of whales putting on a show today as we walked to the lookouts.  No photos of the whales but the views were lovely.

Accidentally took a photo of my shadow.  Need to lay off the desserts…

Back to the ship for a late lunch on the balcony.  This cruise life is hard to take especially on beautiful days like these.

Just on a short 3 night cruise to Eden.  Left Sydney on Saturday afternoon back to Sydney and work tomorrow morning -  straight from the ship.

 

Sorry I know this is a RCL group but the exchange rate is awful atm so Australian cruises that are  in AUD are my cruises of choice.   On board Majestic Princess.

Yes, Sharon contacted them when we could not figure out the one our cruise friends gave us.  (Who you will meet on Icon.)  They suggested having the ramp modified on a manual,  showed us an electrical one that can handle the weight but was almost $3,000, and getting an accessible van.  Now that we have this one figured out for use around town we will go with what we have.

The company also suggested not to fly with it.  They said most of the damage they see is from loading them on planes.  I am currently leaning toward renting a Whills wheelchair on Icon now that our TA got us moved to an accessible room!  This is the 1st cruise that I have been getting excited about this far out.  Looking forward to meeting you and others on the Icon!

We are also looking forward to meeting y’all. I have 2 cruises booked before this one and those are barely even on my radar. 😁  Really excited about this cruise.

I had to look up sapphire coast as I didn't know where it was. I missed the bit where you said you were on a cruise. Looks lovely.  What line and route are you doing?

I was thinking of you yesterday. The news said that there were rockets coming over into Central Israel and I wondered if you had to go to the shelter . So unimaginable awful. My heart crys out for you all living through this.

Owen’s hockey this weekend, the team had one win and one tie.
 

Owen also the game puck from the 4-3 win. He scored 3 goals.last nights game he got an assist.

Beautiful ship. I love Princess cruises. The CnA perks are better on Royal, but the new Princess ships are great. My newest Princess is the Enchanted. Enjoy your cruise! Thanks for the great pictures.

Since it is seasonal cocktail time, I tried the honey apple crisp.  A drink and desert all in one.

These pumpkins martini's sound delightful!

 

Several years ago Jim and I were at our Condo for Thanksgiving, so I hosted a small dinner with two of our elderly friends.  One of them said she'd provide the pies.  "What kinds do you and Jim like?"  I told her I love Pumpkin, and Jim loves Lemon Merangue.  (sp?)  I couldn't wait for dessert!  I went to my friends condo next door where the pies were.  I was so disappointed when I opened the boxes and found a lemon merangue and an apple pie.  We headed home the following week, and my daughter surprised me with a pumpkin pie!!  I was thrilled, especially since I am the only person in the family who eats it.  Thank goodness for daughters who look out for you!😉
