Royal Caribbean Cruisers -- How Are Things Where You Are? (was "Routine" 😁 day in lockdown... how was yours?)

I have been dwelling over on the Princess Boards, reading up on medallion class and getting acquainted with their new app they just rolled out.

I went through their app, and I am actually checked in for that cruise, even though it isn’t until next January.

I was looking through the package I bought, and I thought it said you would get two premium desserts per sailing, but on further inspection, it is two per day.

Oh my, I hope these don’t have any calories, or I may be in trouble.

I bet you were buzzing when you read this, seriously.🐝

How about some Lucy photos from today.

She’s waiting for a snack.

Lisa walked her to the barn.

The following ensued.  Time to pet me.

More treats?

Now I swat at you.

Does Lucy help Owen with homework?

It seems that is Ricky’s new role.

Cooking for our daughter and her family tonight.

Susan did the bacon potatoes and corn, and my task was making chicken cordon bleu.  Rated 5 out of 5, except by my granddaughter, who only gave it a 3 because it didn’t include ice cream and cookies.

A cartoon we had on the fridge for a long time:

"Cats can't read. And they don't want you to, either".

Sorry to ask what might be another dumb NYC question...  I'm booking flights and the intention was to fly in to Newark and stay there since we are cruising out of Cape Liberty but now that plan has changed and I want to stay in Midtown.  Would I be better off flying into JFK and flying out EWR after the cruise or should I stick with EWR both legs?

Newark Airport is 17 miles to midtown Manhattan and JFK is 15.

There is usually a lot of congestion going from Newark.

Coming out of lurking mode to ask if anyone can tell me when cruise documents/luggage tags become available?   We are sailing 3 weeks from tomorrow.  I've never paid attention in the past, but I thought we could access these earlier than 3 weeks.  I appreciate your response.

~30 days prior to your sail date.

Hmmm... so apparently not the case on this sailing.   All I can see is my set sail pass on both the website and on the app.  I thought I'd remembered ~30 days also.

No sweat, Mark!  You and Susan put in so many steps with your Fitbit, or whatever you use, you'll both be fine, after enjoying these sweets.

Haha,  Not sure that will work.  We both gained about 4 pounds in the last month with two cruises plus eating out too much with family at the beach house.  Not sure how we will do with those tempting deserts, plus familytime next Christmas.

Just went back and checked tonight, and luggage tags are now available.   Thanks for your response.

Ours weren’t available at 30 days and we kept getting an error message.  2 days later we got a Royal Up. So that could happen too.

Funny--we got the Royal UP invitation a couple of weeks ago.  But I've been checking for luggage tags for the last 7+ days.  Tonight was the first time they showed  up.  Later than expected, but all is well.
