Royal Caribbean Cruisers -- How Are Things Where You Are? (was "Routine" 😁 day in lockdown... how was yours?)

Recommended Posts

One thing I noticed on our February Allure departure, is a lot of people don't seem to realize that the luggage tags are for picking up your luggage after you get off, and if they are carrying their own luggage off, they can leave anytime, and noy wait for their number to be called.  When we got off, the elevator was packed with people dragging their own luggage.

I have been in CC posting hell. After so many attempts to post and things going poof I just gave up. One of the last times I posted I quoted Bonnie and Brillohead and it only showed the quotes and didn't post my comments. I don't know why they don't get it fixed. I have tried Chrome a few times and had issues also. Trying again. I did notice I would be able to post one or two sentences at a time on a roll call and also like some posts, otherwise it sucked.

I'm so far behind on reading I probably won't be quoting anyone. I haven't read any of the Wonder reviews since I gave up on CC for the most part. Will eventually read those. Does anyone know if twangster is doing a b2b? Really hoping this post works or I'll try again in a few days.

Edited - OMG! It worked. I hope it continues.

The Mirage is gone? I was just looking at Vegas hotels on one of the big name travel sites and they showed the Mirage as one of the options.

It may not be gone yet, but the volcano is gone and it will be redesigned/rebranded as a Hard Rock. Link: https://thepointsguy.com/news/mgm-selling-the-mirage-resort-casino-las-vegas/

I had to say goodbye to my Kubota today.  He was the sweetest cat.  We got him 15 years ago with his brother Cinnamon.  His brother is the same color but has short hair.

When I was single and worked at SWA (for 12 years), we used to go to Vegas all the time for cheap weekend getaways, since we could fly for free and there was no need to rent a car. So I've been there many times.

My husband, however, had never been. Years later, in 2016, I convinced Brian that we should renew our vows there for our 10th anniversary. We stayed at Excalibur because it was cheap - YES, we had Krispy Kremes! Their chapel was nice, though. It was so fun.

Ok, it could only happen to me.

So did anyone ever have an allergic reaction to "Whiskey"

Well, not the drinkable kind.

So for Christmas I received a gift bottle of body wash from Bath and Beyond, it is the  store with the blue and white checkered logo.

So after a hard day (yea hard for me, I am retired) I leisurely jump in the shower and use this new shower gel " Sweet Whiskey" after which I would jump under the soft sheets and go nightie night.

We are really not drinkers (except on cruises with drink package), and I thought it would be enough to let me fall fast asleep.

It smelled sooo nice and I truly enjoyed the shower.

Put the jammies on and jumped into bed waiting to visions of sugar plums danced in my head, as I just settled down to a long winters.............

When under the covers  to my surprise.........................I sprang from the bed to see what was a matter.

Away to the light switch I flipped it up so fast.........When what to my wondering eyes should appear.

A body rash, hives, welts and reddened areas on my face, chest, and body areas that are to sensitive to mention here.

Damn, is was itchy, and looked like I had Chicken Pox.

Well, the nurse that I was immediately took Benadryl, and got out the Calamine spray and Cortisone cream and went to town, placing it on every nook and cranny.  I looked like the pink Easter Peep.

I do not know which came first, the resolution of the itching or the welts going down, but I was fortunate to have relief from tearing up my skin with my nails in a few  min.

Was able to fall asleep and when I woke up besides finding pink bed linen, my skin had a mild rash with a few raised areas.

It took almost 5 days to disappear  completely.

Now I still have one other "whiskey gel" unopened product.

Maybe if on the Bella Cruise I will bring it if we have a gift exchange.  (not). The happy dumpster is getting it.

What a scare.

So, now I go back to my simple old fashioned Dove.

Like I said, growing up we were always told to "watch your Whiskey"

Guess I should have headed that warning.

Take care

This is so scary! As one who has had head-to-toe hives (unknown penicillin allergy) I can totally feel the itch.

I’m stalking CVS and Walgreens COVID test websites, waiting for them to get to March 25.
CVS is creeping up daily, so I keep checking.
Those of you have have used CVS to test for your cruise, did you see the message below on their website? It says rapid antigen test not accepted for travel.

Yes, it has always said that, but no concerns .... the antigen test is good for cruise travel with RCI.

My understanding is the warning is there for other purposes / types of travel.

I hate it when you have to go aft for sunrise photos, because it means you are headed home.

Great picture, Mark!!!

Twangster got off Wonder today. He is not cruising this upcoming week as far as I know.

I had trouble posting to CC one day also. I got pretty frustrated from it.
