That’s the Quartz counter top in the design center. Not part of our build. Our stuff is is on top of the counter top. 😎

 

We couldn’t use Quartz as it can’t be pieced (spliced) together like Granite and our Island is too big for Quartz, which is man made (or gender neutral made). Our Island is 12’x6’.  Can’t manufacture a slab that big.

Probably too big for the two of us but we like to entertain and have cookouts. Also, my Mom can’t do stairs any longer so we have a nice room if needed for her on first floor. We have a Guest Suite upstairs for friend and family visits. We decided to this because we really needed the extra garage space. I think we got a little carried away.

It all looks very nice.    I have similar pebble title in my Master bathroom shower.    I love it.   

I personally like the look of island being different.     I also like having lower cabinets be different color than upper cabinets then tie it all together with the island.    

It is so fun to pick out everything then be surprised several months when the finishes are installed and you see for the first time.

Maureen, your cruise reviews/posts always made me chuckle.  One photo of you in Cozumel stands out in my mind. Can't be too descriptive but you were in Senor Frog leaning real close to a wooden statue. 🤐

@Milwaukee Eightthat’s a great color board. Wonderful selections by you and the Boss. Having an interior designer was the best choice we made when we did our house. Saved my head a million aches. I like the exterior drafts of the house as well.

That's my question, lol. They also said my lashes might get thicker. My dumb luck, the lashes will stay the same and the hair under my arms will grow thick and lustrous.  Why is that hair still dark brown, but, my head is completely white?

I've never had that rum. The rules say you can only vote once, that's what I've done. My conscience is clean. I don't have an actual blog, just created one post for that thing.

I’m terrible at this stuff and not good with colors. We depended on the Design lady a ton. Lol
