We had a new kitchen put in last year and the fridge /freezer is now enclosed in a unit. We get a magnet at every destination and port. Anyone have any idea how I can display them now?

Waybe a white board. They are generally steel. I keep some on our electric panel at condo

How about a picture/poster frame with a piece of thin steel cut to size to fit.  A can of spray paint to paint the steel whatever colour you want.

Thanks Ken and John, I thought about steel but didn't know if it would be too heavy for the walls?

I did buy some on line but it was very heavy once I added the magnets.  Maybe I need to research magnetic white boards or thin steel 👍 

I never thought about putting a frame around it

Not sure what kind of home improvement stores you have on your side of the pond but over here you could get the thin gauge steel at Home Depot or Lowe’s.

Good morning.

 

Been a whirlwind of excitement here for the last 12 hours.

 

To start with all you history buffs.

 

Do you know who is credited with the famous quote: One if by land and two if by sea?

 

Yup, you guess it my DH🙄

 

Well no not really I know it is Paul Revere.

 

So here comes a #1, guess it is better than a #2.

 

 

Ok to explain.

Every fall we do the American Heart Associations walk to fund raise for the cause.

Last year due to COVID, it was a honor system walk, and we did our street.

In addition we took a chance on a raffle, the tickets were $25 dollars each for a one week stay at a condo at a tree top resort in Gatlingburg.

 

Um we won.

 

So for the last couple weeks as the time is approaching we have been hymn-hawing should we go or should we stay. (a song lyric)

 

One day we are going, because we need a getaway.

The next day we are not, who will take care of the cat.

The next day we are going, love the scenery.

The next day we are not, because I need a COVID Vaccine.

The next day we are going, I got my first of two vaccine shots.

The next day we are not going,  what if the weather sucks.

The next day we are going because their is a casino I can gamble at just a short drive away.

The next day we are not going because even though the police chief lives next door, I am leary about a sudden vacation and no one to house sit.

 

On and on and on.

 

So, we are going.

Suitcases out.

And the DH had planned all along for the DD to house sit.

DD will guard the house and feed the cat with her two body guards (pictures to follow).

 

For us it will be a 9 hour car ride.

 

Yes I am excited, and cannot wait.

 

I would rather it be a cruise, but right now I think it would be fun to explore places I have only driven by on my way to Florida, having never stopped here.

Oh and as Dr. Seuss would say if he was still permitted .....

 

"Congratulations! today is your day.  You're off to Great Places! Your're off and away.........Oh the places you'll go".

 

Well so much to do.

Wash,  iron, dust off suitcases

Pack

Stock up refrigerator with stuff

Buy dog food.

Get a trip tik, even though we have GPS and use WAZE.

Get hair roots um fixed

 

Stay healthy

😂🍻 Yeah the old fridge freezer is in there. Will come in handy when we are finally allowed to party... 

Six family n friends in the garden or outside allowed from 29th March, can't wait, Spring is just around the, courner.
