Right on the front page Chili..."closed for renovations accepting bookings from March 2022"

Lyle it could be open?

 If you google the ghost?

It was once a house of morales in question.

The ghost has a thirst for Canadian men.

Have a look,as someone on TripAdvisor said until you stay here you will never know.

Walk out the door or even the hotel is the main tourist attraction in Sydney and from $150 a night for 2.

Thanks for the tip, @Chiliburn; just booked the Russell for our pre-cruise stay in April 2022!

You are welcome.

The Russell is something special, the people who run it are very passionate .

Its not the Marriott but it’s wall to wall history and you can cut the atmosphere with a knife.

Shhh Chiliburn, don't tell too many about the best place in Sydney!

I have suggested it a couple of times, but I have also been shouted down on occasion as it definitely is quirky and a bit out of the ordinary and probably not great for those with challenged mobility.

We love staying there, the people are great, the wings are to die for and there is just so much within easy walking distance that we often stay a day or so extra when cruising.

I was hoping the ghost might put them off

My BIL and SIL stayed at the Russell @ The Rocks, about 3 years ago, precruise. They said it was ok, 3 star, but good enough for a night or two. Good location. They ate breakfast and dinner at the place I recommended, City Extra, opposite the Ferries.  Where you can try the Victoria Mixed Grill, like me. Actual pic below

Where’s that cougar photo, I think that’s what the ghost looks like.

 I think Lyle is scared.

There’s a bakery a couple of doors down which has seating.

But get some fresh cooked pastries and a cappuccino and sit on the wharf and watch the ship come in.

Have you seen the barnacles on some of the ships.

The propellers don’t have anti foul and are the worst.

I have seen some pics of the Princess ships recently, being white, the rust really stands out, not so much on darker hulls like HAL etc. A lot of maintenance work required.

Here’s some of a Genting ship ,the one on the left bottom is the propeller.
