I think you need a need a new Doctor. I don’t any Doctor that approves of smoking. I know a few. How did they look at your lungs?

Now I’m beginning to think you might just be a Troll. Husband with heart transplant and wife smokes. Doesn’t seem to be a good fit.

I am not about to discuss on a public forum medical procedures done by my doctor.  I did Not say she approved of me having just a couple cigarettes a day.  She said she cannot argue that...

Also my Dh is a transplant recipient. You assumed heart.   If you want to think i am a troll go right ahead and think whatever you want to think.  Stay well!

I don't need to speculate, I can tell you. On a UK or EU sailing, I spend about an hour or two every evening while my partner gets ready for the evening, and the same towards the end of the night. On a 7 nighter I'll usually have either one or two 'big nights' there.

On a US sailing, I don't even enter. I'm a big fan of the USA but the American attitude to smoking is sadly lagging behind most of the world these days.

Do you think so?  restaurants and bars are all smoke-free in most places.  Yes casinos allow smoking, they seem to have their own rules.     In some counties in Florida they allow smoking on patios other counties they don't.

After having spent time in Spain where people were smoking in every bar and restaurant I would disagree with you.  France didn't seem to be smoke-free either.  Eastern Europeans are heavy smokers and smoke everywhere.  China everyone smoking everywhere, they have the highest rates of smoking in the world.

I actually thought that the UK had a lot more smokers than the US or Canada

If you google the world smoking rates per capita the US is like 85th in the world and most Euro countries including Germany, Italy, Spain, Netherlands the UK have higher per centage of smokers.   Of course the Russians, Chinese and Asian countries top of the list.

Will new requirements over physical distancing, air quality, wearing masks, etc., will this finally be the end of interior smoking on RCI ships in the casino?  Celebrity does not allow it, Azamara does not have casinos on most ships.  Can't figure out how people would smoke through a mask.

I sure hope so.I have been advocating for non smoking casinos for many years.

I have a non smoking casino 20 minutes from my house. Do I go there? In a word.....NO. I will spend 2.5 hours traveling to AC instead.

Can you tell me the #1 reason the 2.4 billion dollar Revel casino closed? I can, it was because they didn’t allow smoking. Before you try to retort, the judge in the bankruptcy case made them switch to smoking to try to save the casino from going under.

I saw that too. I never smoked but grew up in a time where smoking was acceptable any place so second hand smoke doesn't bother me. What did annoy me were the ash trays that were full  and left in a spot on the slot machine where I knocked them over. The casino becomes a smoking lounge especially on a rainy sea day.

I assume I grew up in the same time period. I know 2 people who never smoked but their spouses did and they both died from lung cancer.

My father had bladder cancer which they said was directly caused by smoking.  However. He continued to sneak cigarettes until he passed😢. Also, I am amazed that people can smoke occasionally, I never could.  Had to give it up.  Forty five years now, was only five  at  the time🤪

When I am in London one of the things that always strikes me is the number of young people that I see smoking... not so much here in the U.S.

All these "feel good" responses about getting rid of smoking is just that.

This would not be a good move for cruising. It will be hard enough to get people to really dedicate themselves to cruising again. If they ever ban smoking they will even lose more cruisers. imo
