Thank you Rich for the Daily report.  It is always interesting to see where our ships are.

Fatigue Day -- yup -- I feel that way already and I haven't done anything yet.

Hooray for all the nurses and the wonderful job they are doing.

Chicken strips -- sound great!!

Thank you for today’s Daily, Rich! Good morning to my CC Sisters & fellow Daily-ites! Another gorgeous day here. Stay well everyone!

Chicken it is. Will need to find some new way to prepare them.

To all the nurses of the world - thank you.

Thanks for the Daily!   I salute all the nurses on International Nurses Day; I know many in various stages of the nursing profession, and they all deserve our thanks for what they do every day.

Your meal suggestion sounds great, although if I had DH cook them, they'd be tough strips of chicken.   I'll do the cooking, so they'll pair nicely (a-g-a-i-n) with the seemingly never-ending Sunny Summertime Pasta Salad.   And wine.

Smooth Sailing!  🙂🙂🙂

Thank you for the report.  Nieuw Amsterdam is actually docked in Cape Town with a bunker barge alongside.

At the moment EVERY day should be National (or International) Nurses day.  For me it will be my usual Panera takeout (CHICKEN noodle soup for lunch but Mac&Cheese for dinner).   Amazing how much fatigue we feel for as little as we are doing.

Thank you for the report, Rich. I think chicken strips would be a great idea for tonight! Now to think about the sides, since DH won't eat veggies-except the starchy ones-potatoes, corn-and definitely not anything that is green. That is one thing I am missing from the cruises. When cruising, he tries everything on the menu except grilled asparagus and beans, which I delightedly solve his problem. 🙂

Thanks for the fleet report, Rich 🙂

It should be National Nurses Day every day ❤️

We owe all our health care workers a lot in these tumultuous times while they work under the most difficult and tiring of circumstances.

Good morning, and thank you for the report, Rich!

We have a flag at the entrance to our complex thanking the medical personnel who are looking after us in this pandemic.

And at 7 every evening we all (or a lot of us) go outside and make a lot of noise!

This is SO TRUE!!   We are still hoping our AQSC cruise (on the Ohio and Cumberland Rivers) on Sept 6 will not get cancelled. I decided that if I don’t DO something about it I will be too tired to even walk by then!!  So I started walking 1 mile every morning up and down my driveway. Last month, I did 2 miles each day. On Monday I started 3 miles!  Talk about fatigue!! 😅  But now at least I have a reason why I’m tired. Because I’m in that “elderly” group, I can’t go out to the gym or track, but it is amazing how much I’m enjoying the flowers along my own driveway.

I think I had allowed “shelter in place” to become “sit in place”!  (I know that many of you are not physically able to go out for a walk. Just getting outside and sitting in the sun for a bit will probably make that fatigue vanish.)

I am really enjoying this uplifting thread and reading about all the places many of you are planning to visit.

The Amsterdam actually got into Manila harbor last night.  The dining room manager posted a video of all the ships surrounding her.  Definitely very strange seeing all those cruise ships like that.

My nomination for Quote of the Day:  "We've always believed that music has the power to bring us closer together and we need that now more than ever".  Stolen from this week's edition of HAL's Lincon Center Living Room.
