classic drinks package how does this work?

As Thomarvin says, do take advantage of all of the wonderful offerings in the Cafe al Bacio coffee bar.  And, since basic bottles of water are about $3.50 each (16 oz), you get that for free with the Classic package as well.  Premium and sparkling bottled water is only covered with the premium package...

We have cruised a few times, but never with a drink package.

Is there a limit to how many alcoholic beverages you can order per day.....with either Classic or Premium package?

You can only get one drink at a time.  The policy was supposed to be 15 minutes between drinks so I would think your limit would be in the area of 100 per day.  LOL

While you can only order one drink at a time, the exception to that is I have ordered a drink, Americano or glass of wine and have been able to ask for a bottle of water at the same time.  I always try to pick up a few bottles of water to keep in the cooler in the room.  It is also wonderful to get a bottle of water as we disembark for a day in port.

Good point. Both the CBP and the PBP are also good until you disembark the ship. So enjoy a bloody mary, mimosa or a bellini with your breakfast before heading off the ship.

Thanks everyone! that makes it much easier.  we're mainly soft drink people so we should be fine, although..I suppose if you want to try something, the cruise would  be the time! (within reason!)

crossing fingers, toes, eyes, and anything else that will cross that we'll actually  be able to go, surely they can't keep them grounded for years, at some point ya gotta get this mess figured out!

A lot of the drinks at the pool bar (refreshing, cold and fruity) don’t taste particularly alcoholic and they will always be happy to mix you a something alcohol free.

The coffee bar has a wide range of coffee and teas to enjoy too.

One of the benefits of a drinks package is you can experiment. If you order something and don’t like it just order something else. Before the packages I used to stick to a couple of preferred wines and cocktails, now I will try anything!

Even for very light drinkers a drinks package can make sense once you add in the cost of water, a couple of sodas, a coffee or two, an odd glass of wine...

Hope you have a fantastic cruise!

I was disappointed with the quality of some of the branded spirits in the Classic Package last year on Infinity, even the upgraded spirits tasted poor.  The White Label scotch was very rough, The Henessey VS tasted like aviation fuel and the pay extra Remy VSOP, again poor. Perhaps, it was what I had eaten or drunk previously.

Best quality drinks I've had in onboard was in the World Class Bar on Eclipse, but I enjoyed the Martini Bar last year on Infinity.

Earlier this year (happy days....) we did a Caribbean cruise on a Sky Suite with the enhanced beverage package (we paid the $10 pppd) and we were told by our butler that the drinks in the minibar would be covered by that (not huge selection, but welcome nevertheless - Beer, water, soda, small selection of spirits etc).

Is this standard across the X ships, as we have a B2B on Apex next July in the same room with the higher drinks package included this time?

Thanks.

Just by the way, has anyone seen others share their package with friends?

Big No No and the cruise line is aware that people may actually try it, some have actually written on this that they have done it.  Its just stealing.

When most people talk about getting the upgraded drink package for $10 pp pd they  mean the premium package. No, the premium package does not include the minibar.

However, they do offer the "drinks and more" package, which I"m guessing is what you mean since you should have gotten the premium package included. This does include the minibar. I"m differentiating between the two packages so that no one with the classic package gets confused thinking that the premium drink package includes this....

"Drinks & More Package

This package includes all the benefits of the Classic and Premium Beverage Packages, like top-shelf spirits, a wide variety of wines†, liqueurs & cognacs, beer and champagne. Plus enjoy two bottles of wine*, $50 in casino free play**, and a wine tasting experience. Minibar included and replenished daily if two adults in your stateroom purchase this package."

Thanks for that, but I definitely remember upgrading to the Premium package (now you mention the name, I was just too lazy to Google it and find out!). Our deal (from the UK) just included the Standard drinks package.  The butler seemed to indicate it wouldn't normally include the minibar, but since I was on the Premium package, he might as well let it ride (or words to that effect).

I wasn't sure if he was doing us a favour, or if it was just like that anyhow. It turns out then, that he was helping us out!

Thanks.

NP. Perhaps he felt bad that you guys had to pay for the premium package when it's included in US bookings for suites. But yes, if that's the package you had it should not have included the minibar so I wouldn't expect it be included in the future.

Thanks - from the UK, we usually get a poorer deal! Although on this occasion it worked out well.

We just booked a cruise for March 2021 which includes the classic drink package.  I'm a little confused.  I know this package use to include coke products and bottled water, but it now appears those are not included unless you upgrade to premium. Does anyone know???  Thank you!

Everyone has there own taste I like Hennessy VS, if you want really high end we had the premium plus on MSC yacht club which included everything by the glass so you could skip VSOP and order XO cognacs also 21 year old and older scotch, plus they pour doubles if you like. Micheals on infinity has a decent selection of single malt if you book a suite, royal suite you can get a bottle of McAllans for your suite .

The Classic Package does include soft drinks and bottled water.  The photo in a previous post did not include everything available.  Here is a link to the X website that shows all of the packages:
