Your next cruise....

So what will you do once  you FINALLY find yourself on board a ship again?  I saw this on the Celebrity boards and since our 1st cruise is likely to be with HAL in December thought I would post it here too.....

 

I expect there will be tears of joy from many of us, including myself, and after a bite of lunch will most likely find myself on my balcony waiting for the CC sailaway party, sipping a glass of wine and smiling from ear to ear!!!!😁

Although I will celebrate all people and things HAL once onboard, I am most looking forward to an Afternoon Tea in the MDR. Certainly hope that is not eliminated. Reduced seating at each table would be acceptable but would somewhat diminish my pleasure.

We just got home from a short trip to Las Vegas.  We don't even care much for Vegas, but we went because, once fully vaccinated, we HAD to get away for a few days.  We hadn't been anywhere in 2 years.  We did not partake the festivities of The Strip, but instead stayed in a nice hotel/casino away from The Strip and had fun doing plenty of other things.  We kept telling each other that we can't wait until we actually get to cruise again - To be where we really want to be.

 

I'm sure that tears of joy will be exploding from my eyes upon embarkation...  Cruising became such a way of life for us over the past 25+ years.  Stepping on board is like coming home.  Once on board, we will likely breathe a big sigh of relief and then have lunch.  I am looking forward to the hydro pool and lattes in the Crow's Nest.

Hopefully Dec 2021 - after grabbing something to eat - will be toasting with a drink on our (1st ever!) balcony - an aft balcony no less !!!!

August 2021 - not likely but still waiting for HAL to cancel. Then November 30, 2021 on Princess. If that fails, then February 2022 back on HAL. Just want to sit on the balcony with a glass of wine and be grateful.

November, 2021 - a trans-Atlantic from Barcelona to FLL.  The first thing I'll do when we get into our cabin is what I do every time - grab DH's hands, and jump around like a nut doing my happy dance while he makes sure I don't fall and kill myself.  Then we'll head to the nearest bar to celebrate our good fortune.

Whenever I step aboard a HAL ship, my first thought is "I am home".  On a ship on which I have not sailed, my thought is "greetings new friend".  

 

I am  becoming increasingly doubtful that this day will occur for me.  I am not cruising ever again if I must wear a mask.  My physical issues would make the expenditure of effort, time, and money an unwise discretionary thing for me to do.  😭

Rotterdam TA AMS PEV + an add-on 4-day Bahamas and Key West travel agent loop this fall. Booked it in July last year, when either I was an optimist, a fool, or probably both.  I'm 50-50 on whether the TA will actually go w/ pax, and right now 0-100 that it will go to an acceptable customer experience for me - so playing the cancellation waiting game.  Scott.

Well, I hope to be on that cruise with you.  And, I’ll be opening a bottle of something in my cabin.  And work on unpacking.  You could always join us and save on the Spanish VAT 😉 

Pretty sure we have enough space to distance if required 😂 

 

We’ll have some red as well as my white.  We always do 😉

We are fine about wearing a masks. It will probably save us from those passengers who never cover their mouth when coughing. And I might actually get through an entire cruise without the flu or a cough.

 

We just want to be on a ship and stare at the clouds and the sea. We got a Neptune suite so we have plenty of room to isolate ourselves if it becomes necessary. Being onboard and talking to all the wonderful HAL crew, having our beds made, our laundry done and our meals prepared. Can’t wait to be home!🚢🚢🚢🚢

I am soo happy to say I booked a b-tob -yesterday.  🙂I booked my  usual neptune  suite, as a solo   again but this time they charge me for  two  persons  (200%)   though  I  have not befor e  paid  200% as   a solo in a Neptune

 

 

Has anyone paid for two persons though they are solo in a Neptune Suite?

 

  I prefer to sail alone in my Neptune Suite than share a  bathroom with a non-family member.   Seems  an  awful ,  ,waste   doesn't it?

I’m looking forward to sailing up the California Coast in November.  I’ll enjoy a beautiful sunset sail away from San Diego and wave to my dear departed parents in the National Cemetery of the Pacific, cruise  past Point Loma and out to sea as we sail by Cabrillo National Monument.   Then I’ll go to dinner!

I have paid double as a solo on every HAL cruise I have taken in both regular veranda cabins and Signature Suites!  This has been the case since 2006 when I first sailed with HAL.  I haven't sailed in a Neptune but would sure like to know how you got one for less than 200%!!!

Next cruise is December 15th.  We will be celebrating a return to cruising, our 50th anniversary, Christmas, and New Years!   The whole cruise is a celebration from beginning to end!!!!

I'll have a big grin on my face and be a bit teary-eyed having that feeling of being home again!  We'll drop off our stuff in the Room and head up for lunch.  Then we'll make our Ressie's for Specialty Restaurants and have a glass of Vino.  Looking forward to the next morning when we get the knock on the door with Room Service breakfast!  Miss that morning knock!
