miched Posted June 10, 2021 #6 Share Posted June 10, 2021 My neighbor is a nurse. Last year year in Jan she along with many others got very sick. They didn’t know what it was. They found out later it was the Covid virus. She was one of the first to get a vaccine becasue she worked in a hospital. 2 months ago her husband and children all came down with the virus. The kids weren’t as bad as the dad. She also tested positive. She said she had a few symptoms but nothing really bad. sorry for the bold. I didn’t know it was on and don’t want to retype it Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

ipeeinthepool Posted June 10, 2021 #10 Share Posted June 10, 2021 So how did they get tested? If you are vaccinated there shouldn’t be a need to test. Was this the test that they perform in order to get off the ship?

There’s no need to test vaccinated people who aren’t showing any symptoms. 14 1

I look at this as an excellent opportunity to give their Covid protocols a good shakedown. Their port agreement with St. Marten, their isolation arrangements, and their quarantine arrangements before returning home will all be put to the test here. Added bonus is that no one is truly ill. Do you need to be reminded that you can still get COVID, and spread it, even though you've been vaccinated? You sound like the former dear leader who complained that the pandemic nuumbers wouldn't be so bad if people just didn't get tested. The likelihood of an asymptomatic vaccinated person spreading covid to another vaccinated person is so low as to not even be worth thinking about.

It happens, break through cases are uncommon but not rare. They tend to have no symptoms so we don’t hear about them often because the person doesn’t know they would need to be tested.
