It appears there will be no Mama Mia on this trip.

Laura is a little disappointed.

Luckily we are back in October

Wow!  I see we’re scheduled to sail together. Looking forward to meeting you and Laura.

While perusing the Royal App under Entertainment I noticed this little anomoly.

Apparently you need to be vaccinated to watch Wonder Woman outdoors, but not to watch Ice Games indoors. 🤔

But in Studio B later that night, it's back to vaccinated

It just occurred to me that Casino Bar is vaccinated only since the Casino is. Crap, no Prime drinks without that vaccinated bracelet.

Guess I'll drown my sorrows at the Champagne Bar and watch the happy vaccinated folks enjoy the Rising Tide.

And after enough tequila we don't need no stinkin vaccine😉

Since as you know @John&LaLa Dan and I are bar dwellers I am curious to find out if there is bar seating at any of the bars onboard.

I can do that. If I don't report Tuesday night, remind me.  Really curious about the pool bar on Coco Cay

@John&LaLa When do they tell you if you will be one of the lucky ones to be an unvaccinated passenger?

Nothing yet, @twangster post #43 said soon or shortly as I recall

A special thank you to those guests who will soon receive notice that they will be “playing the part” of an unvaccinated guest to demonstrate all our onboard protocols, including those for vaccinated and unvaccinated guests.

Allure's Vax/Unvax zones:

Some venues like the Aqua Theater are "Select Showtimes" for "Everyone" a.k.a. Unvaccinated.  Explains why the movie times above were vax only I guess.

Good to see most of the ports are open to vaccinated people. Too many places on the ship that I like to go are open to all which means too much masks wearing for me.

CWC and refundable deposits are looking good if things don't improve.

To all the naysayers concerned about being the designated "quarantine" guests.  It doesn't say that in any of my communication.

It says "play the role" of unvaccinated.

Unvaccinated does not equal automatic quarantine.  Unvaccinated are not quarantined in their cabins.

The whole reason why Royal is spending millions to do test cruises is so that unvaccinated such as children can sail.  Other cruises lines are effectively banning most children under 12.  Royal doesn't have a secret agenda, if they were trying to promote or force people to vaccinate they would do what some other cruise lines did - take the easy road and require 95% vaccinated.

Royal chose the harder path of doing simulation cruises so that unvaccinated including children can sail.  In South Florida Royal has a large pool of localized HQ employees to draw from for simulation cruises.  Beyond South Florida it would be impractical and costly to fly or drive hundreds of South Florida employees to other ports.  That's where we come in.

Someone has to be the test participants or this ship won't sail under the simulation cruise rules.

Even if I could be asked to quarantine in my cabin for two days (which they never said) I would still do this.  Playing the role of an unvaccinated does not equate to be quarantined the whole cruise.  Even if that was a requirement I would still do it!  If we don't do this Allure doesn't get the certificate to sail from the CDC.

And don't assume the legal challenges are over.  The CDC could have another angle in play we haven't considered.  Royal can't assume they are done with the CDC only to have the CDC rear its ugly head in some other way three weeks from now and shut them down if they haven't obtained a certificate to sail from a simulation cruise.

@twangster I mentioned isolation rooms, but it wasn’t in response to the letter you all received.  If I read it correctly, The CDC info on test cruises required for each ship, simulations or certain requirements, including isolation and evacuation  it could be very likely that crew play those parts, right?  I truly hope all the volunteers get a Perfect Day 😀

I want all of you to have a nice time.

@John&LaLa I apologize for derailing your nice thread

so if this list are items to be simulated, someone needs to be move to isolation - Possibly Crew members?

Requirements Relating to the General Components of a Simulation and Simulated Activities

The following activities must be simulated onboard each ship for which the cruise ship operator intends to commence restricted passenger voyages before applying for a COVID-19 Conditional Sailing Certificate. However, at the cruise ship operator’s discretion, these activities may be conducted as part of the same simulated voyage or as part of separate simulated voyages:

  • Embarkation and disembarkation procedures, as approved by U.S. port and local health authorities as part the cruise ship operator’s Phase 2A agreements, including procedures for terminal check-in.
  • Onboard activities, including seating and meal service at dining and entertainment venues.
  • Medical evacuation procedures.
  • Transfer of symptomatic passengers or crew, or those who test positive for SARS-CoV-2, from cabins to isolation rooms.
  • Onboard and shoreside isolation and quarantine, as per the terms of the cruise ship operator’s Phase 2A agreements, of at least 5% of all passengers and non-essential crew.
  • Recreational activities that the cruise ship operator intends to offer as part of any restricted passenger voyages, e.g., casinos, spa services, fitness classes, gymnasiums.
  • Private-island shore excursions if any are planned during restricted
