Thanks for all the daily information, photos and humour.

@kazuI feel your frustration with people who will not co-operate .

@CruiseMGM Bon Voyage, have a fabulous cruise.

@rafinmdsorry that you had such a bad day yesterday.

Another 21 Delta cases today, 18 in Auckland, 3 in Wellington.

It's a sunny day, 10 C.

Stay safe, take care everyone.

@rafinmd Roy I’m sorry to hear what happened at your PET scan. I’m sure that you were stressed and anxious which probably contributed. I’m praying for you. And I also pray that the test results are negative.  Please keep yourself on the Care list.

On another note, DM didn’t have her treatment today. A part is being flown in from LA. So this adds an extra day next week which conflicts with an appointment I have for Blue which I will reschedule. This is stressing DM a lot and no matter how much I reassure her everything will work out she gets anxious. Next week will be super busy for me fitting in all the appointments but at the end of the week I have a big reward— a cruise!

Just posting your message about the need for closing your thread is not what needs to be done. Remember, since Cruise Critic does not review messages before they are posted and cannot read through the thousands of messages posted each day, we depend on you and all our fellow Cruise Critic members for help.

Stated in the Guidelines: "We encourage you to utilize the reporting system built into the board system; you'll find a Report a Post icon located in the upper right hand corner of the posting. Use it! We will review the report and take appropriate action."

Report a post is the route to take when seeing a post or thread that violates the Guidelines or the new COVID-related Discussion rules, is off topic, is on the wrong forum and as in your case, a thread needs to be locked to further posts. See the pinned post by LauraS on the Need Help Using the Forums? Check Here! forum:

Since you need to have your thread locked, you would use the ellipsis (the three dots) next to your post #1. You will be using the Report post text box where it says, "Optionally enter a  message with your report." Just type in your message explaining that as the OP you need your dated thread locked and click Submit report.

A User Reported Content list of reports is generated for review by all volunteer Hosts and paid Administrators. The reports will automatically show the important information they must have such as the forum name, thread title & link or post link in addition to your message.

The volunteer Hosts or Administrators will review your Report post report when they can. I say "when they can" because all emails and Report post reports to Cruise Critic are answered in order of receipt. With almost two million members and some sending reports or emails anytime 24/7 from all over the world, please be patient for any action. Also, please remember the Hosts are non-paid volunteers that work the boards when their real life permits. Most Administrators work regular weekday business hours & have other duties too.

Please remember, if anyone has any questions/comments/feedback regarding board management, they should not be posted on the boards. See the following from the Guidelines we all agreed to follow when registering for our free Cruise Critic memberships:

"... Discussion of the management of this community is not allowed on the forums..."

"... However, we would be happy to address any concerns you have via email.   Please write to the Community Manager at:  community@cruisecritic.com..."

"... The Community Manager has overall control of everything that happens within the Community. The Community Manager oversees how the board is styled, what forums to create and how to organize them, is responsible for our Rules of Participation, what information to require from members and who to appoint as Community Hosts. You may contact the Community Manager at: community@cruisecritic.com ..."

"... If you have any questions or comments regarding our posting guidelines or any content found on our message boards please be sure and let me know. I'll be happy to discuss them with you.

Please send your email with your questions/comments/feedback concerning board management to LauraS, Community Manager. Also, please send the email from your Cruise Critic email address of record and be sure to mention your Cruise Critic member name.

I hope this information will be helpful to anyone reading this thread! emo34.gif

VERY LATE today, but I am “Good to GO!”  Currently I am in Seattle ready to sleep with dreams of a BHB tomorrow.

Does anyone think I should gamble while on the Nieuw Amsterdam tomorrow?  I did my COVID test yesterday morning (72 hour timing situation), with results within 24-48 hours!  I flew from a small regional airport in Western Colorado at 12:00 pm with no results.  While waiting in Salt Lake City for my connecting flight I got the test results of Negative!!!  I was seriously considering the $250 test in SLC/Seattle, but just felt that my “Free” test results would come in.  All is good and I am getting on a. BHB tomorrow.

Thanks to all for all contributions to the Daily and prayers for those in need.

Sleep tight!

Thanks Host Kat.

I do know how to make the request. Now that you are on the scene maybe my requests will work again.

Many thanks if you will assist.  It’s a list that is done weekly and from that I create the Bon Voyage threads.

I will try again on the next updatte

It was always done in the past when we had Host Walt (RIP) and we miss him 😢

I requested numerous times after his passing and nothing happened.  I gave up after 8 requests.  I’l try again next Friday.

We haven't spent much time in your area yet. We did day trips on the Trent when I was a kid. By boat, the furthest west we got was Fenelon Falls (lock 34) and the furthest east was Lakefield (lock 26). Many trips in a Lakefield cedar strip runabout (no digital pictures) and then in a fiberglass tri-hull open bow (picture circa 1969) -

Boating is so much fun.   Years ago we did the whole Trent in a houseboat, two great lift locks Kirkfield and Peterborough and the Marine Railway.   It truly is a gem.  Safe travels back this summer.

@cat shepard and any others interested in Reykjavik, Iceland...

On BBC, I ran into this quirky/interesting/sweet mini documentary about a School for Housewives in Reykjavik.    Fun to look at.  You might recognize some terrain.
