If you have time, would you check if B2B guests have to take a Covid test on turn around day.

Thanks!

On last weeks live thread there was a b2b and Pescadillo reported they had to go to the medical center that morning of turnaround and get the test.

I remember reading that post, just curious to see if Covid testing is going to be standard procedure from here on out.

Self-serve? Tell me it isn't so!

It isn't so. There's a server behind the plexiglass to serve you what you want. The only items I've seen that have been self-serve have been the ones in the buffet that are on their own dishes, so you don't have to touch a common serving implement.

This question popped into my mind, this morning.  I don't think I have seen this discussed in any of the recent "Live From. . . ." threads.

Since it appears that the My Way Dining system can accommodate reservations for any venue, is the DINE line still available?

I can see where Princess would hope that the My Way Dining system would be sufficiently efficient and could replace the live humans manning the DINE line.

There's still a button on the phones in the cabins labeled "Dining Inquiries."

I woke up still on East Coast time this morning, around 4:30. I checked this thread and my emails and decided to lie back down with the BBC news going in the background. I haven't figured out a way to get the TV to have a snooze feature. When I woke up again, it was 9:24. I guess I needed the sleep.

I made it to the morning trivia. No one joined me. There were a couple of dozen people there, but everyone was playing in their own groups and not forming teams with strangers from what I could tell. I came in second but three points behind the winning couple.

My cabin steward brought my laundry back from Monday. I have enough now to last me without trying to send it out again. If I had been out of the cabin by 9 this morning, though, I would have.

Do you know if they still have the cold cereal at breakfast  in the small manufacturer's boxes (Corn flakes, shredded mini-wheats, etc,)?

Pre-pandemic Princess said they would eliminate them to help reduce single-use packaging.

I did see lots of individual size cereal boxes in the buffet

Are they still not doing embarkation photos or port photos?

They weren't on the August 8th sailing.  Photographers are set up nightly around the ship for photos in front of green screens though.

After trivia, I stopped by the International Cafe. They were already switching over to the lunch menu and were out of the breakfast sandwiches. I had just a bran muffin. That will tide me over until lunch at Alfredo's in a few minutes.

Ellie, one of the assistant cruise directors, was doing the ring toss. She was on my Island Princess b2b cruises in 2019. It's amazing that I have not seen her earlier during this cruise. I won another Majestic Princess coaster. There was only one other guy doing the ring toss, though, and she gave him one for second place as well.

Can anyone on board this week confirm that Elite's are still able to trade the mini-bar for coffee packages?  Another thread has posted that Princess has discontinued that Elite perk too.  Just asking for future reference.   Thanks!

The minibar can still be traded. Just call room service & ignore what a 1800Princess said.

I'm going to add this for those who stayed on (I know there are a few but don't know if they are on CC)::

I closed out my account the previous night. The next morning I was able to order 3 lattes. So apparently even though I closed out my account, my coffee program did not close out at the same time period what I'd like to know from my December cruise is this::

can the coffee package roll over on a B2B?

Lunch at Alfredo's was delicious. Who knew that it would be so crowded, though, at 11:30? When I got there, the hostess told me that pizzas were taking 25-30 minutes. Later on, she was telling people they would take 35-40 minutes. It did not matter to me. I was there for the agnolotti. It was delicious, but it was not really agnolotti. It was one large round piece of filled pasta--a raviolo. One of my pandemic projects has been working my way through the recipes in a book called The Geometry of Pasta. My goal is to make at least one new shape of pasta from scratch every week. I also had the vegetarian antipasto, which was also delicious. The uploads of the photos are failing right now.

Geoherb, Have you been in the Casino? I read on an earlier cruise that it was really smoky in the Casino. I don’t understand that when the Princess website states that masks must be worn in the Casino at all times except when eating or drinking.  The thought of someone exhaling while smoking is a bit scary to me.  I used to smoke and smoking does not bother me but being around people smoking during this pandemic is a bit frightening.

We went to Alfredo's twice on our August 8th cruise.  Both times we were told that it would be at least an hour before we got our food and both times we were glad we stayed because they severely overestimated the time it would take!  And we split Agnolotti and a pizza both times.  Delicious!

I have not been in the casino other than to walk through on Monday when there were a few people playing slots. It was not smoky at that time, but it was before noon.
