lovelife Posted October 28, 2021 #1 Share Posted October 28, 2021 Don't know if this has been reported - couldn't find anything about it. Oasis Windjammer is open for dinner this week. Solarium Bistro is not open for dinner.

Oshawapilot Posted October 28, 2021 #10 Share Posted October 28, 2021 I’m aboard Oasis right now. Windjammer is indeed open for dinner. The new no-touch system is still a but rough around the edges everywhere so far as some crew members being stretched thin on the amount of buffet areas they’re handling, not just in windjammer but everywhere. Not complaining, just an observation. It’s not a major issue, things just take a bit longer.
Lady Hudson Posted October 28, 2021 #11 Share Posted October 28, 2021 On Oasis last week. Solarium Bistro definitely open for dinner. Ate there twice. Katherine

kimberlypodgorny Posted October 28, 2021 #13 Share Posted October 28, 2021 Windjammer was open on freedom last week during the week cruise. There were somewhere between 1300-1400 guests onboard.
spunks Posted October 28, 2021 #14 Share Posted October 28, 2021 On the Indy last week we were told that starting nov 1, Windjammers would be open for dinner. Good to know it started earlier on other ships.
Pappy At Sea Posted October 28, 2021 #15 Share Posted October 28, 2021 Good to hear. I like having Windjammer as an option for dinner, even if I’m planning on eating elsewhere during the week.
jonj Posted October 28, 2021 #16 Share Posted October 28, 2021 My husband is a chef and catered for many years. He said it will depend on how many people onboard. Food cost to run a buffet is high if there aren't enough people to warrant it.

Thanks for the update! Over 3600 seems like a lot of people for the amount of tables, chairs, loungers…they have blocked off or taken away due to social distancing. We had just over 2700 and it was hard to get pool loungers, windjammer tables and reservations in specialty restaurants and shows. I wonder at what point they will stop adding to the number of guests without undoing some of the social distancing?

Protocols have been ignored by many the last two weeks.

Was this the 22nd-25th three day cruise? The casino manager said that trip was booked pretty full compared to ours (18th-22nd) and that this week's weekday cruise had a very low number of bookings.
