LIVE from the Majestic Princess /Mexico November 27-December 4

Yes it’s me again 😂if you followed the group thread from November 6th, you may remember me. 
 

I had credit and vacay days to burn and cruise friends onboard so here I go again. 
 

others on this cruise, please feel free to post!!! Different perspectives makes these so much more fun. 
 

The first person I recognized as I came aboard was Christiaan (cruise staff) from South Africa. I know it’s only been 3 weeks but sooo exciting to see familiar faces. Lots of squeals and hugs and  laugher as I continued to my next stop, the Crown Grill bar to meet friends. 
 

But first… 😂 I saw CD Kevin from Canada but he had to run for work. Or maybe he was running from me 😉😂so I didn’t get to say hi, but I met his mom, who is onboard for the week. He told me on the previous cruise she was coming to sail and he was so excited he was to see her after a very long time. I introduced myself and told her if she needed anything or had questions, I’m happy to help as well. She’s never been on this ship and im sure she’ll have an amazing time, with the beautiful bonus of spending some time with her son. Alrighty, still I was on my mission to get to the Crown Grill bar… but 

 

then I ran into the beautiful Lauren, also cruise staff and also from South Africa. More squealing and hugging 🤷🏼‍♀️😂she was on her way to the gangway to greet guests.

 

the Majestic is still greeting passengers as they enter with clapping and cheers. As a passenger I clapped and cheered each time I’ve boarded as well. 

At last I made it to the Crown Grill bar where My lovely cruise friends Vickie and Bernie were waiting. I snuck up on them 😅then more laughing, squealing and hugs! I haven’t seen them since 2019 when they were on a different ship but we met up in port. We stay up with each other on Facebook, but seeing eachother In person is of course much more exciting. 
 

Vickie is the current onboard guest port lecturer and her husband Bernie is on with her. They’ve cruised for decades with Princess and Vickie has a long running blog. I found her blog several years ago and met her on a cruise, it was actually this itinerary. They are such nice people and have a wealth on information from their travels and experiences. 
 

They’ll be in this week and then 2 more weeks so if you are sailing soon, be sure to watch for her presentations. 
 

then it was onto lunch where I met more cruise friends!!! You guessed it, more squealing, hugging and laughing!!! I met Them (sorry not sure if they care if I say who they are) on this itinerary on a Halloween cruise. 
 

Jovie is still at the Princess Live bar but will be leaving in two weeks. I see her name mentioned a lot on the threads so thought I’d share. 
 

I’ll post patters and menus etc, and will share any new info. They do have new holders for the medallions this week. 
 

here are some cabin photos as well, I’ve never had a mini suite, very excited to try it out. 
 

I will be eating at Sur La Mer later in the week and will post photos. I had Harmony last cruise and it was sooo good. 
 

I did book the enclave for the week again as I did last cruise.

I just learned something on another thread so I’m trying it out. 
 

In the app you can enter a name to be addressed by. I put my first name… and something a little extra, so we will see if the crew can indeed see it, should get some smiles 😇😅

I'm hoping the Christmas decorating goes up this week, I’ve never seen the ship decorated for Christmas…. I Brought a Christmas shirt just in case to take photos in 😅

 

muster was easy… watch the video and check in at the muster station. 
 

Captain Dino Sagani (aka Captain Hottie or CH) 🤫 completed the ship wide announcement a moment ago and now it’s off to fun, sun and beautiful  views.

Glad you are back on board the Majestic. They had a great crew when we sailed with you on the 6th, and we saw several vans filled with new crew members arriving while we waited for our Uber to show up when we disembarked on the 13th. It looks like you have a lovely mini-suite. Enjoy your cruise!

We just got off the Majestic Princess this morning from the Mexican Riviera and had a fabulous time! It was only 45% full so the service was the best I had ever had on a cruise. Have fun!

Could I ask you to Look inside your sofa & tell me if the extra bed is set up

longways like the couch.....Or is it a foldout bed?

Ellie was promoted and trans shipped I believe it was to the Ruby

We were on the Majestic over Halloween and will be on it again embarking again on Dec. 11 for 11 days.   Medallions arrived today--Hurrah!  Feel like we will be returning home when we board!

We just returned from the Enclave.  The week pass might be one of our best purchases ever.  We love good hot tub jets, steam and dry heat.  We are very relaxed

Good morning from the Majestic Princess! 

 

Here are some photos from sail away last night. 

 

Last night was lovely. After dinner, I went to the Enclave for a bit, then got dressed again 😅. 

 

The Strikeout game is a Music game where they play a song and show two years. If you think it’s the year with the up arrow, you raise your hand. If you think it’s the one with the down arrow, you keep your hand down. If you get one wrong you are out. When they got down to a few teams, those teams got prizes and we played I think 4 round. The cruise staff played as well. They have a new cruise staff team mate who just got out of quarantine yesterday. I forget his name but he’s from Italy. I lost… every round 😅

 

After the game, i went to see the comedian, Robbie Printz. I’ve seen him before, he’s very funny. 

 

I’m at breakfast now as I’m an early person. 

 

Our cruise critic meet and greet is at 10, then I’ll go to Vickie’s first presentation on Cabo San Lucas. 

 

I thought I’d get to watch my 49ers on MUTS but that’s not one of the games on today. 😭I shall persevere 🤪

 

Vickie’s Mazatlan presentation is at 2 today and Puerto Vallarta will be tomorrow morning some time. 

 

The yes/no game is tonight, one of my favorites, which I’m pretty good at. I won against Karen last cruise and Dan Falconer the cruise before that…. I think Kevin would have a better chance of beating me so we will see if we will find out. I already have my strategy picked out if I get picked.  😉

Part of cruising for me is trying new things. 

 

I’ve never tried eggs Benedict before and decided today was the day. As it turns out, I didn’t like it 🤦🏼‍♀️I just didn’t like the consistency of the egg. I of course know some love it, and maybe I have the palate of a toddler, so Please don’t yell “Shame! Shame! “ At me should you see me onboard 😅

 

The banana, yogurt and bacon were plenty and I got a fruit cup from the international cafe to top it off. 

 

One interesting thing, I discovered the “incredi-bull” non alcoholic drink last cruise. Thank you caffeine! I had a couple yesterday as well. 

 

I just got one from the IC bar and it’s completely different…. So I’m not sure which version is right. I like the other version better. She put lime juice, ginger lemongrass syrup and Red Bull in this one, I have no idea what was in the other version…. Other than cherries. 

 

I did buy the soda and mocktail drink package for this cruise as well. I get the mini bar set up but prefer mocktails so I switch out the stuff I don’t drink, or give it to others.

this morning I stopped by the vegetable and fruit carving demonstration in Princess Live, hosted by Miss Lauren. They are so talented!!! I love the creativity  and you can see they take joy in creating these adorable creations. The fish in the “reef” is my favorite 😍 
 

Here are some photos from our meet and greet as well, many officers in attendance! 
 

I always appreciate when officers take time from their busy work days to stop by, say hi and answer questions. 
 

Captain (CH 😉) Sagani stopped by for a bit as well and spoke with us. He was the Captain on my August cruise, he’s very personable and funny. Let’s not tell him my nickname for him until I leave, though with the mask he will never know it’s me right? 😅

 

After the meet and greet, I went to Vickies lecture on Cabo San Lucas, which was very informative and well attended. 
 

And now I’m off to lunch!

I love the veggie carvings!  Very creative! Can someone on this cruise, or a previous Mexico/Sea of Cortez cruise tell me what the weather is like onboard the ship on sea days?  Is it shorts and t-shirts weather on deck or long pants and sweaters?  Thanks so much and have a great cruise!
