Luggage Photos

On a shuttle to LAX my luggage was put into the wrong bin from San Pedro. 
 

I now have photos of my luggage in case anything happens. They’re in a luggage folder so it’s easy to find. 
 

Here’s my photos as a suggestion.

I do this same thing!!!!

 

After having to describe my luggage many times in various situations, I have found that having a photo is an excellent solution and is very helpful.

 

(I also take a photo of the inside of my luggage too, before I lock it.)

Huh 😕  Tom, I figured you as a blue or black soft sided kinda guy not hot pink. We use to use tracking tags.

I used to bring a little printer with me on cruises.

 

On the last night, I'd print a picture of the bags.

 

It is very handy to give to a porter so he can quickly locate you bags in the terminal.

 

Probably now, just as easy to show a picture on one's phone.

I have a great story about taking a photo of your luggage. One year my friend Wally The Green Monster was supposed to go with me to the Panama Canal and he ended up in the Caribbean. 😳 😁.

We too take photos of our haul. But frankly, that bright pink bag could probably be detected from the surface of Saturn if one needed to locate it!!

Hi Suzyed,

Wallys no sticker he’s my pal.😁 Here is a few photos of Wally in the Caribbean with his two friends.

One of the photos is of them going out on formal night.

I used to take pictures of my luggage for the airline but they could care less. I had a odd red color suitcase - all they wanted was the color and the size when my bag went missing. It didn't matter if it was an odd color of red - in their system all they could do was select "red".

I've seen carts in the hallways with photo's of missing luggage, distributed to the cabin stewards to look out for. 

It's got to help find it.

We simply put Apple airtags into each of our hold luggage.

In addition to a photo of your bag, include an itinerary and contact info inside the bag so it’s the first thing to be seen when opening the bag. We include cruise line, hotels or where ever we are during out trip. I used to process baggage claims and there were numerous times the outside tag was torn off making it very difficult to find the owner.  Do you know how many black soft sided bags are out there?  Pink, you may be safe.

Adorable!  You pack them every time?
