WOW! There are a lot of things to complain about with cruises

Parking meters!  That would take care of it.   Think of all the extra revenue from expired meter tickets!  😄

Go back to when crossings were common place and in the early days of cruising:  Reserved deck chairs that one paid for and a Deck Steward who provided service for those guests in the reserved chairs.

Seriously while I don't desire a seat near the pool, I can certainly understand how irritating this could be.

Brilliant! They could even use the Parking Mobile apps to make it even easier. 🙂

Some people would prefer alcohol free cruises but too much revenue is gained and therefore that will never happen.

I think more would prefer smoke free cruises, or at least a smoke free casino.

When you dilute anything you gradually start to lose it essence: that which makes it what it it.  The cruising experience had been continually diluted over the past few decades;  while that process has made more cruising experience available to more people, it has changed cruising to the point where it has very little resemblance to what it was thirty or so years ago.

One of the reasons we have been enjoying Celebrity - knew it was nice and just had that reinforced on another line where the smell of the casino was pretty widespread on that deck.

And what is even worse on some lines is having to go through the smoke to get to the dining room.

It is certainly apparent from these forums that there are some individuals who seem to thrive on negativity.

I wonder who complains about their cabin being too large?

I wonder if there is a certain premium line that does not have these issues.  😀

This. Just come off Celebrity reflection. It was fabulous.

Yet heard loads of complaints and read even more on faceache.

Listened to one British woman (I am british) complain at the fish and chips in the cafe. Apparently the batter on the fish was soggy. seriously.

The best one though was the American woman on our transport only trip to Olympia, complaining to the "guide" that she didnt guide enough. Despite this being a very cheap transport only trip.

She was wanting full commentary from someone there to basically count us out and back in again.

Even her husband looked embarrassed.

Made worse when she demanded to know which company this poor girl worked for.

Made better when the girl refused to tell her.

Made even better when I interrupted her moan, to thank the girl for a fabulous trip.

Ah the joys

Mrs Ldubs and I have been known to have contests for who heard the best complaint of the day!  😁

Or, "It rained."

Not as strange as it sounds.  A few years ago we were on a Celebrity cruise and happened to stop at Guest Relations in time to hear a couple loudly demanding some kind of financial compensation because we had been cruising through some bad weather.  The cruise was a spring time transatlantic from Florida to Northern Europe and the weather did stay with us for a few days.  The reality on that kind of cruise is that the Captain has little leeway to avoid a large weather system as the ship must keep to its schedule.   This couple was arguing with Guest Relations that the Captain should simply cruise out of the storm (this particular storm system was huge).

Some people are so ridiculous.  A good comedian ought to be able to create a great routine titled "Tales from the Front Desk".

My favorite complaint is when folks whine that the "ship is moving."

Or, when someone claims to be feeling seasick just as the ship is just pulling away from the dock.

That's a game my traveling companion would have enjoyed!  Wish we had thought of it.
