Tank412 Posted August 8, 2022 #1 Share Posted August 8, 2022 Just got back today off the Summit and had a great cruise. My only complaint was the lack of non alcoholic drinks. They ran out of ice tea after 2 days, most of the time you had to try several places for a diet soda. I have been on several cruises and never had these problems before. Is this a Celebrity thing or a post Covid thing?

jelayne Posted August 8, 2022 #4 Share Posted August 8, 2022 It’s kind of like going to your your local grocery store, last week they had your favorite diet soda, wine, cereal and then for the next month the shelves are empty.
Rare Fly and Sail Posted August 8, 2022 #5 Share Posted August 8, 2022 It's one my biggest pet peeves. It's almost impossible to get the Arizona Ice Tea they advertise even on U.S. sailings. Almost no outlet has it available.
earlydiner Posted August 8, 2022 #6 Share Posted August 8, 2022 On our Summit cruise in June, if they didn't have diet Coke, they would have Coke Zero. We couldn't tell the difference.
Arizona Wildcat Posted August 8, 2022 #7 Share Posted August 8, 2022 Was told by a big box TA company. Be flexible or stay home. Had to laugh about Arizona Ice Tea. None locally in Arizona lately. Lol.
BratDet Posted August 8, 2022 #8 Share Posted August 8, 2022 They also no longer have coconut water either, but we still Summit sailed in July anyway.... b
Bo1953 Posted August 8, 2022 #9 Share Posted August 8, 2022 My only comment is, if there were tea bags, ice and lemon available, then iced tea was available one has to work make it... Just think, if they did not have any lemonade available, the work you would have to do to get some!!! LOL Cheers and bon voyage 4
basenji56 Posted August 8, 2022 #10 Share Posted August 8, 2022 Did they run out of Arizona Ice Tea or the plain ice tea in the machines in the buffet? 2
Lastdance Posted August 8, 2022 #11 Share Posted August 8, 2022 (edited) I have always made my own ice tea, bringing some of my special tea bags too! Hope they keep having lemons. Yes, for me, it is a mainstay. Edited August 8, 2022 by Lastdance

Covepointcruiser Posted August 8, 2022 #13 Share Posted August 8, 2022 I can understand no canned ice tea, but no real ice tea in the Oceanview or Restaurant is unbelievable!
SusieV Posted August 8, 2022 #14 Share Posted August 8, 2022 They would make it for you at cafe al bacio, right?

I completely agree. The "tea" in Oceanview is not "real" ice tea. I also go to Cafe Al Bacio and have them make me a fresh brewed iced tea! 1

Next, there may be a shortage of water from the taps and taking showers with bottles San Pellegrino to rinse your hair. Will it ever end?? Do I need to add a 😏

Yes, for me, it is a mainstay. Lastdance, my DW is bringing her special ice tea bags for our upcoming cruise. There is no real ice tea aboard unless its from a can (maybe) or fresh brewed from Cafe Al Bacio.
