If Cunard is going to stick with Queens, they are going to have a small fleet with names recycled to successors. I like the idea of Eleanor of Aquitaine, but I might find a cruise on Queen (Lady) Jane a bit brief and possibly heading nowhere.

Is that a deliberate pun?

so next Cunard ship...'King Charles?

Passenger ships are often thought of in the feminine sense, so, no King Charles.  A new Royal Navy warship?  Quite likely to be named HMS King Charles, I think.

This statement confuses me as your last sentence negates your first!

One or our new carriers is HMS Prince of Wales.

The OP’s post, I think, is merely trying to get a debate started.

I imagine the Lady Jane Grey would have to do endless 7 nighters to Norway and back from Southampton as more than 9 nights would not be appropriate?

Captain would have to be careful they didn't head off in the wrong direction! 😕

The Prince of Wales is no longer Charles as I understand the situation.  Prince William is the newly designated Prince of Wales.

Passenger ship vs warship, I believe.

That was the intention of what I was saying in my post.
