Dear Loyal Members,

One of the great benefits of being a Diamond, Diamond Plus, and Pinnacle Club members is the daily complimentary drink vouchers you receive on every sailing. Currently, the active window for voucher redemption each day is from 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM, which means that any vouchers you redeem after midnight count towards your balance for the next day.

We know how much you love these drink vouchers, and we want to make sure you’re getting the most out of this benefit! We’re excited to share that we’re changing the daily schedule so that these vouchers are now redeemable from 5:00 AM to 4:59 AM the next day. What does this mean? It means that your daily complimentary vouchers will now reset at 5:00 AM every morning allowing you to get more out of this benefit during prime hours of each day, including your after-midnight drinks.

On top of the schedule change, we want to help you better keep track of the usage of your complimentary drink vouchers, so we’ve added a tracker to the printed receipt that is given upon receiving your complimentary drink. At the bottom of the receipt, there will now be a line of text which indicates how many vouchers you have used towards your daily balance, e.g., “C&A Beverage Voucher [# Used] of [# Total].” You’ll never lose track of your complimentary drink vouchers ever again!

We will be rolling out these changes beginning on all sailings departing on or after December 16th, 2022.

As always, we thank you for your loyalty and for being a valued part of our Royal Caribbean family.

Sincerely,

Crown & Anchor Society

Seems like a very good change. Last cruise we had to hurry from a late show to hit Vintages before 12:pm several times

Agreed!  I am usually in bed by 8pm on land, but on a ship 2am isn't unheard of.

Plus 5am is a good time to get a "free" specialty coffee if you're an early riser!

So does this mean that you can't use your vouchers on the first day of the cruise?

I believe we'll still get them the first day and it'll be ship-specific the last day.

Just trying to work out if you still can get away with them being valid on disembarking day or if you’re b2b ( when you can double up on the day)?   I don’t think so?

However, I did have an issue on my last cruise when 5 people around the bar agreed with me that it was 11.55p when the barman’s till insisted it was gone midnight therefore it was new voucher allowance time!
So many iPhones 📱 with the wrong time! Who knew 🤷‍♀️

Not great change...I often wait until  midnight for my next day vouchers...I share sometimes...lol. What bar is open at 5:00 am

This is an interesting point.

On Symphony, the casino bar is open until 3am, and another bar was 2am I believe.

No.  Why would you think that.  You are definitely boarding after 0500.

I guess this depends on what your standard schedule is.  We often find ourselves still at a bar after midnight and looked forward to our vouches resetting at midnight.

Ummm, it's still 4/5/6 drinks during a 24 hour period.  What I am I missing that makes this better?

I've SEEN people complain about their drinks resetting at midnight and not being able to consume all 4/5/6 that first night.  So this gives you a little breathing room on night 1.

If you drink more than that, this is bad for you since you don't get to flip the first night but everything is fine after that.

Either way, it only affects 1 night.

I guess this depends on when they close out your account on the first leg.  I seem to recall some people saying they could not use their vouchers the morning of debarkation and read where others said they could.  Seems to me a reasonable expectation is that you would have your vouchers for the first leg until you scanned off the ship on your first leg and you would get your new vouchers after you boarded for the second leg.

But then again this is Royal Caribbean and logic and common sense does not always seem to be relevant.

If you are on a 7 day  cruise, you get 7 days of vouchers.  Boarding day is day 1, so the last day is day 7, which ends at midnight.  If  the voucher resets at midnight, and you get more drinks, then you are getting 8 days of drinks.

 This ends that.

It shouldn't, but I know that Celebrity doesn't allow the free drinks until the day after the cruise sails.

Apples and oranges. Celebrity also doesn't allow you to enjoy your CC HH drinks until 5:PM and ending at 7:PM.

We never got a receipt from anywhere on our last cruise that showed our drink balance. I was actually looking forward to that so I didn’t have to keep track or ask the servers how many we have left. Has anyone been getting the receipts to sign?

Receipts for me were about 50/50 on Symphony a couple weeks ago.

It will most definitely make some people happy and others not so much.  I typically use all my vouchers 5 per day ..last evening was a bonus for me.

Bingo. There is no other reason why they would make this change.

We used to be able to have a good night drinking -- four drinks before midnight, four drinks after midnight.  Then we would probably not drink too much the next day.  Rinse and repeat.

Now a good drinking night will be limited to four free drinks.

Less than cool.

The real change I see with this is that it'll be harder to use the vouchers on disembarkation day. In the past you could drink them starting at midnight now not until 5 am. I doubt many people get 4+ drinks from 5 am to disembarkation.

😜When do you check in.

Multiple changes occurring on December 16th.  The primary angst on some D+ members is the unavailability to the CL.
