Would love to see a screenshot of what you are seeing. (Not because I doubt you, but because I'd like to try to reverse engineer it to see if I am missing something.

Sorry do not know how to do that.   But after you sign in go to onboard services scroll to bottom and everything is there   We did make reservations as casino comp so don’t know if that makes a difference.

When I do that, it shows that I have "Plus 50" which is the $50 per day version, and nowhere does it show what you are seeing.  I think your assumption about the casino comp is on the money. (Pun intended.)

Same here. I have 4 cruises booked. 2 show the Plus 50 package and don't include the desserts, fitness classes, or juice bar. The other two were re-booked for lower pricing and have the "new" Princess Plus package that shows all the stuff. (Stuff in which I have no interest...)

Someone posted elsewhere earlier today that on Discovery leaving Los Angeles today they announced that due to operational challenges they will not have the “new” items onboard this cruise and are refunding $10 per day for purchased packages.

I hope they're not ready for the new items on the Sky Princess this Saturday. I have no interest in a juice bar, special deserts or fitness classes. But I would appreciate a $10/day refund.

Except those numbers do not seem to be correct.

The old pricing was $10 for single device and $20 for 4 device plan, the new pricing is supposed to $15 for single and $40 for 4 device, according to what was stated when the price increase was announced.

As Elite under the old plan we paid 10 per day after discount purchased in advance since restart. We gave purchased it for our future cruises prior to the price increase.

You are right about old prices.  I swapped two numbers.  Should be this:

The old pricing for MedallionNet was:

                                  PRE-CRUISE                          ON-BOARD

1-Device                           $10                                          $15

4-Devices                         $20                                          $25

I did write the correct numbers for new pricing.

Same idea on upgrade to 4-device under old pricing - $10 more before discount.

I do believe that the 4 device plan was raised from 20 to 40 per day. not 25.

I “saved” a lot of $$$ by pre-paying internet, crew gratuities, and/or beverage packages when they first announced all the price increases.

You either pay now or pay the piper later.  I’m good for all of 2023.  Who knows what 2024 will bring if I don’t have my Grand Princess back where she belongs.

I really don’t understand the rationale behind the increases. Seems to be pulled out of thin air.  I can understand percentage increases, but these seem so random.

Rationale is simple: Squeeze as much $$$ as possible from the customer until it reaches the point the customer no longer is willing to spend the $$$.

Remember that the current President of Princess came from Disney, a company that has raised the art of squeezing $$$ from customers to a new high.

I just upgraded on the MedallionApp to Princess Plus when I got on the ship and was enjoying lunch in the MDR. This is what the "Packages" section of the app looks like for me now!

This may be way off topic now but the original poster asked for details of how much the drinks now cost. Can anyone advise what the increases are post 20th February?

No.  Because the changes apply to cruises that DEPART on or after 2/20 and the 20th was a Monday.  Most cruises were already underway on Monday and they aren't going to raise prices in the middle of an existing cruise. And assuming that prices are in fact raised, (that seems to be an assumption and not a known fact), they are going to do so fleetwide all at the same time.  So if we see any price increases, expect that to happen this coming Saturday.

I reached 15 by the end of the night! The new drink count gauge on the Medallion app makes it feel like a challenge. Good Spirits drinks are still $12. I'm going to try and run that menu front to back later today!

Keep in mind that even with the increases the competing lines tend to charge as much or more for the same things.  So basically the prices are merely closing the gap on other lines.

Interesting that they now show you your consumption. I think that's a good change. However, it's a challenge I likely won't take up. (Then again... 🤪)

Edit: One reason I like that they show your consumption is to check how the package is being used. My wife may "get wild" and have 6 drinks. If we see that she is being listed as having 15 drinks or something of that sort it will show that someone is messing with the package. When you are just asked for a cabin number when purchasing a drink one can just give a bogus number. We were charged for 2 expensive drinks the first night of a recent cruise that definitely weren't ours. They were charged in the Cigar bar and we never set foot in that venue.

Someone did post that it is $60 per day for Plus and one could use OBC. Their cruise did depart on the 20th. Not sure about individual drinks though. It is post #51 on this thread.
