Far be it from me to advise, but with some mobility issues, I didn't want to sign up for the bridge climb. We just did the Pylon Climb instead. Plenty of stairs, same view from the top, where you can watch the bridge climbers at eye level, and only about $15 per person in case I couldn't make it. ☺️And you can take all the photos and stuff that you want to up to the top.

Pylon Climb is my back up, this is a stretch goal. Still a year away

Hey, Fellow Bella 1.0 cruisers,

Regarding the group photo on the staircase on Formal Night, the photographer took 2 Hug pictures.  One of them was a close-up shot.  We purchased that close-up one.  It's a very nice picture.  I can scan it and if anyone is interested in getting a copy, please give me your email address in cryptic form (use spaces and spell out "at", don't use the symbol "@") and I'd be happy to send it to you.  Thanks.

Thank you Helen.  That would be wonderful.  vcj529 at aol dot com    It was great meeting you and Marty.  Hope to see you on Bella 2 if not sooner.

Condolences on your loss.

We did a burial at sea in December with our daughter after her husband passed away unexpectedly. Royal does a great job with it I think.

Our daughter will always remember this special monent as I am sure you and your family will.

May you find peace.

Thank you

Ultra is a mess and a lot of people get out of control. The clientele have definitely gone down since it started. Same thing with Wheels Up Guns Down. It brings in the rift raft bikers (not bicycles) and crime goes up at this time.

The pillows in our cabin were too thick. I had to pound it in the middle just so I wouldn’t get a neck ache.

Sorry we missed the photo. When you said on the staircase formal night I thought people would be dressing up. I couldn’t dress in my gown and be ready in 30 minutes so we skipped it. Wished we would have come as we were. Next time we will be there. 💃🏼

We couldn't make the formal photo as well.  We also had limited time (early seating) to get ready for dinner.  Beautiful photo.  Next time we'll plan better.

Welcome home, Deb and Andy!

Nothing like sleeping in your own bed.

I did tell Jim that I'll be bringing my own pillow from now on when we cruise.😉

Maryann, I always travel with my down pillow.  Always.

Same. With two of us working to get Phoebe ready before dressing ourselves, it was like a Three Stooges movie, lol!

Us, too. I guess we could have sent Tom down to represent?

It's so weird.  The first week my pillow was fine.  The 2nd week it was awful.  Room steward brought me 2 different pillows...way too thick causing neck pain, then 2 thin pillows...

My pillow fits in my backpack....next time it'll be with me.  Lesson learned!  Although I don't remember having so much problems getting comfortable before🤔

Signed up for bridge climb in Sydney 😁

I hope you enjoy it as much as i did.  I was very fortunate that the weather cooperated and there was very little wind and it was a bright sunny day.  The view from the top is amazing.  (this was in 1988)

Going through all my pics and video. I know many of of you have seen small snippets of Nicko Cruise's small ship World Voyager docking next to us in Costa Maya.

Here is the full time lapse video shot from my Go Pro. It's fun to see that little baby come in and bouncing up and down from the waves. Must have been a good ride for all of the 200 passengers on board.

@ReneeFLL, @CruiszBug, @BonTexasNY, I’m really sorry that you and some others missed the photo taking.  I wish you could’ve made it.  It was at the Limoncello tasting where we had most of the group there that it was the best opportunity to try and gather as many people as we could to take a professional group photo that day since we were in group-activity mode.  Otherwise, it would’ve been hard to organize and get everyone together.  We’ll try to improve and do a better job next time so we can get as many people as we can.  ❤️

We were at the Limoncello tasting, lol! YUM! We were in the group picture in the conference room taken by Greg. Just not the formal staircase one.

Yeppers! We'll be at the professional one on Wonder!

Helen, no problem.  We just couldn't get ready in time.  It really was a great photo. I'd love a copy: txnybonnie at aol dot com.

Greg, if not too much trouble, can you re-post the group shot taken at the Limoncello tasting in the conference room?

Thanks!

I saved the picture, though I'm not Greg of course. Does it matter who posts it back?

Nope. No hiking poles.

You can't take anything on the bridge they do not supply. You wear a safety harness and a lanyard that is attached to the bridge safety system. You go to a dressing room and get down to your underwear and put on a provided jumpsuit. Nothing goes with you. You go through about 20 minutes of instruction before you even get on the bridge. Everything is attached to the jumpsuit. If you want pictures you pay for a package. I don't remember if Go Pros attached to you are allowed it's been a few years. They are very strict about anything that can fall from the bridge.

@nasa1974 and @Coralc  Thanks for the explanation and pictures of the Bridge Climb in Sydney.  I was not aware of what that really is and it indeed does not seem a good activity for the mobility challenged.  I think in this day and age a drone can be best used to get such scenic pictures.
