Hmmm..that’s something I’ve never even thought about - being separate Pinnacles and earning double reward comps.  Is that possible ?

I know a few that do, but they've been that way forever

Hummmmm!   I've never seen a Military, Senior, or Weekend discount on any of my cruise invoices.  Or I just didn't notice.  But, for sure, I have never heard of them.  Maybe one of these days I will.  And yes, all the above are annotated with my big box TA and I think the C&A system has it too.

There is a box on the webpage you can click that says additional discounts. Fill it in and see what happens

You have to select it

Don't leave out these states😉

NJ, TX, CA

Or England, Spain, Italy, Denmark, Australia, China, Singapore, etc....

Ah, but we've got one ship, from one port, in the whole country for just six months a year.

Honest question:  Does that work if I use a TA?  I usually use a TA if the OBCs are significant.  Otherwise, I do book through RCCL's site and will keep that in mind.

But, you have the HMS Belfast.  Just doesn't go too far and no luxury at all.  LOL

I don't believe connecting flights count as 'segments'

Not on Southwest but they do on most legacy carriers.  I had two consecutive years with over 240 segments on Delta and that's exactly what Delta counted them with 500 mile minimum miles awarded on each.

DELTA- Deliver Every Living Thing to Atlanta.  Back in the day it was hard to fly anywhere without seeing the Atlanta airport.

How about points for comped casino cruises?

And you want to give them double🤔

Yes, gamblers should get top recognition, based on their per day expenses, dwarf the average passenger big time.

They should be doing that automatically.  Their data base probably has a lot of garbage with many dormant accounts due to lack of sailing and those that May Rest in Peace.  I did not want to use the word death as I was criticized on a similar discussion of being macabre.😁

When Royal sometimes at the top tier events they congratulate themselves on the number of C&A members and always wondered how accurate those numbers are.

One would think that RCI could run a program and cull the data they need. It's like with the Loyalty Levels. All people want to know is how many have achieved a certain status.....like Pinnacle. Not how many are current but how many reached that milestone. I think when they give out #s it's purely a guesstimate but shouldn't be difficult to do.

If  you use a TA make sure they're aware of the discounts you might be eligible for like Senior, Police/EMT, Military and State

I always book through TA and trust him to make sure all my boxes are covered.

But I do go to Royal site for research

Living in Atlanta, almost all our flights were direct.

The joke in Atlanta was 'I'm not sure if I'm going to heaven or hell, but I know I'll connect in Atlanta'

I hope OP comes back and reports what happened. She said they where contacting

CnA in Miami

My daughter has not heard back from the LA at this point.
She said she has no plan to contact/ask anyone what her status is and plans to just keep on cruising…hoping to stay under the radar— too late for that!

Truth be told, her and her BF are looking at cruises on Virgin cruise line currently (her BF is not kid friendly and is not happy with the number of kids on this cruise. It’s his first cruise and he loves cruising, but not with kids.
However, I am curious of the outcome of all of this and will probably just ask her to log in to her RC account periodically and check….like right after this cruise! 😆

Since this thread has drifted. Funny story about C&A points. We took my mom and her companion /boyfriend on their first cruise to Alaska out of Vancouver about 10 years before she passed away. She obtained her first and only passport at age 80.

When I went to fill out the cruise paperwork, it populated with a C&A number. I called to tell them she didn't have one. And they said, "Oh sure, we have her right here. She lives in Plano, TX. Correct?"

She lived in CA. I said no. No big deal, until a few years later, when I went to check her in for a Christmas Cruise (her second). At that point, C&A showed her as Platinum, with 5 cruises, including the Alaska cruise and other ships that we hadn't been on.

I just left it. I hope the lady in Plano enjoyed the extra points. If she truly had the same birthdate as my mom, I hope she continued to sail for a few more years. 😃

Mom did use the passport to go on a trip to China with the Chamber of Commerce, so she did get some travel use out of it!

Interesting thread.  The fact that children share status while minors makes sense just like a spouse sharing a cabin get the higher ones status. It seems fair to me that if a parent is a Diamond when the children turn 18 and go out of their own they revert to cruises taken. I am 2 cruises away from Diamond and I sure don’t think it would be fair for a. Person turning 18 with 2+3 cruises to be grandfathered to Diamond because their parents are.

Thanks for reporting back. Enjoy you cruise

I will report back again after we get home and she goes online and checks her status.

Another note..when logging on to the app, it usually says “Diamond Plus” at the top..after the call from the LA, that changed to “status pending” and has been like that since. Last night it changed back to “Diamond Plus”.

Last update, sooner than I expected.
I just left the Diamond Lounge from getting my morning coffee. Cecilia, the concierge, let me know the LA informed her she heard back from corporate and McKenzie keeps her Diamond status and retains her OWN earned points going foward and her profile has been updated to reflect that. This is exactly what we thought was the case as that’s how Royal had been doing it for years.
Shew…what an ordeal.

Just as many of us said would happen.  Nothing but one inexperienced LA not knowing the rules.

Thanks for the confirmation.
