OP, since you're going to be in Luminae on Millennium (no Murano or Lawn Club), I definitely recommend the Daniel Boulud raspberry pistachio vacherin.  You'll see it at the bottom of the Luminae main menu, not the dessert menu.  It's definitely one of my favorites (right up there with Grand Marnier souffle in Murano).

I've seen photos of this from one of our fellow CC members. It looks amazing!!!!

1) Desserts from specialties

2) Gelato

3) If on the E-Class, Eden cafe cookies and brownies

4) Ice Cream

X has never been known for their baked goods which tend to be extremely bland...If you close your eyes, you might not be able to tell which cake is chocolate and which is vanilla

Appearance can be misleading, just like the desserts at the Cafe...I wouldn't call them "bad", just below average and therefore not worth the calories

Their desserts seem to always have too much gelatin or some other stabilizers.  I understand the need…but the taste and texture suffer.  Give me a shot of Bailey’s!

I agree.  I'm a baker. So nothing is worth the calories.

They have pot du crème that I love - I think it’s just called chocolate pot and a cafe pot (coffee flavored).  Also a fan of crème brûlée and cherries jubilee.  I am not really fond of their cake desserts.

The chocolate orb in Luminae. I have not seen in it on the menu in over a year.

We had it in Luminae on Equinox at the end of March, first of April. I’ve been in Luminae a few times and this was the first time!

My favs though, are the ricotta cheesecake in Luminae, gelato and sorbets, Eden Chico chip cookie and brownies and the ice cream and warm cookie in Lawn Club

Wind pudding and air sauce 🤗.   Very few taste as good as they look.   Mostly sweet with no flavor.   As others wrote not worth the calories.

Go to the Martini Bar and get a Desert Martini. 🍸

Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

On Apex, the brownies in Eden cafe! Also there was a special dessert every day in the Oceanview at lunch.

Agree. Both the brownie and chocolate chip cookie at Eden cafe were better than any dessert from the MDR. Gelato in OVC was the only thing else memorable.

The cakes served at Cafe al Bacio in the evening can be wonderful.  The basic chocolate cake from the "always available" section on the MDR menu (and also offered in Blu and Luminae) is delicious.  But my favorite is the flaming sphere on the Luminae menu.

Agreed!

We just had it on the Eclipse.  When I posted I realized later that I should have mentioned that in the 14 day Luminae menu rotation it is on a menu after day 7.  So folks on seven night cruises may/most likely will not see it on the menu.

Thanks, we have been doing 7 night sailings since covid. We have a 11 night cruise booked for June 2024. Our next cruise I might ask in advance for the orb.

We had it on the menu twice on our just completed Millennium cruise.
