I was interested in the pagers, as it would be great to wait in the bar lol

On board Constellation in October 2022 (Sorry, but that is the last time I sailed Celebrity.)  the anytime dining entrance to the main dining room had two lines.  Host stand on right was for people with reservations.  Host stand on the left was for people without reservations.  This is the line we always got in and roughly nine out of the ten nights we were given a pager.  I guess we were going at a popular dining time.  I think around 7 or 7:30 usually.  We never feel like we will die if we don't eat before 8:00pm.

Note to those who have newly earned their Elite status…when using the free 90 minutes of Internet be advised that turning off your wifi does not log you out!  I have spent my 90 minutes likety split because I didn’t know how to log out. Im now operating on the premium unlimited plan for the remainder of the cruise. The cost for a single device was $125 after my 30% off discount.

From experience, if you go to the IT room, the host will add back the minutes you lost not logging out...they have a record and no doubt will see the long login time.  Helped me out so hopefully will do so for you.

Just spent a little afternoon time in the casino while DH caught up on some emails. Had some nice luck and cashed out to save for later. Wanted to report that the casino is hopping with activity and…yes, vaping. While it’s not smokey, it does stink….literally …🤮

I can smell that stuff immediately, as it travels quickly up my nose; if onboard I would most likely react like I do before or after school, on school property.  Is vaping allowed on all ships, or just Equinox?  I forgot whether it is a closed in area or not.

According to reports here: As of now it is an 8 week test on Eclipse and Equinox

Thanks, Patty; I just found that thread...I guess Celebrity wants to empower those who vape, especially if the company thinks $$$ can be made.  Makes me wonder what else is coming to a Celebrity ship for an eight week trial...TBD!

Axe throwing? Beer pong tournaments? Tattoo parlors?

With the new vaping policy  they may be  testing the market to allow recreational marijuana.    😱🙄😋

Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

Well I did notice that the little hut called Crush on the pool deck hasn’t been open at all. Might make the perfect spot 😜

That area is being prepped for the new Celebrity dispensary.

But, but, but...I thought CBD/DBC, or whatever was not allowed, but maybe an 8 week trial onboard.  It seems like things are wide-open, as far as making money is concerned!

Oh, I thought that is where the new Crystal healing massages would be taking place.  Or is this where they are putting the elevated kava experience?  Either way I know I will be pre-booking all of my cruise enhancements during one of their “50% off” holiday flash sales.  Better hurry and save before they are all booked up.

Just like empowering drinkers? That certainly fills the coffers. I have no idea what a vape is.

If something or someone bothers me, I simply move away.

I am opinionated, as have had 73 years of experience to cultivate them, but I try not to be

judgemental of people. My Mother at 98 would quickly remind me that

I have enough to do to keep myself in check.

The April TA on the Silhouette was my first Celebrity cruise.  It was very nice and I thoroughly

enjoyed myself.  I did find that the quality of food and choices did not match the ship, entertainment and staff.  Unfortunate and baffling.

Happy and safe cruising to all!

The 8 week tests are probably 100% based on casino revenue and not verbal/written passenger feedback

Unfortunately, vaping doesn't just affect the person vaping.  The reason for banning smoking is the second hand smoke.  Drinking doesn't haven't a health effect on others.

What is worse if you can believe what you read, there is a possibility of third hand exposure, since the oils/residue from Vape exhale can cling to objects.  So your slot machine, gaming table etc, could have residue.

Here is an article regarding vaping   https://www.healthline.com/health/second-hand-vape

Happy Independence Day from Grand Cayman!  🇺🇸

We really couldn’t have asked for a better sea day than the one we had yesterday. Though there are way more children on this cruise than I’ve encountered in the past, the Kids’ club program seems to be doing a good job with keeping them entertained. Kudos to them!

We lounged for a bit in the Solarium in the afternoon and then headed to our room to get ready for the evening.

My new favorite cocktail is the cucumber martini. Someone should really invent a slosh-proof glass…I would invest!

So let me just say a few things about my overall Casino experience thus far…

1.  I have yet to be asked by anyone (except DH, who is an excellent drink runner) if I wanted a drink. In fact, I haven’t seen any drink service in the casino at all. I would be annoyed if I didn’t have a drinks package and was counting on getting my cocktails while “actively playing”.

2. The casino was luke warm last night. Meaning there were people but it wasn’t packed. And I saw no vaping at all. None. Then I started wondering if the whole vaping thing is much ado about nothing. And then I turned in my comment card. @NutsAboutGolf hit the nail on the head. The GS rep admitted that this is a trial to analyze the change’s impact on revenue. At least she was forthright. They will make the final decision based on the bottom line not from feedback cards or emails.

Last night’s dinner was uninspired. I had the always available roasted chicken and DH had the bronzino. We shared a pasta dish. Service was excellent!  We arrived at the MDR around 6:30 and were given a pager. The range of the pager extends to the martini bar. After 15 minutes of waiting, we were seated at a nice 2 top near the railing overlooking the dining room below.

We skipped the boy band show in favor of some live music in the grand foyer and then went to the Adults only follow up comedy show by Kevin (not David) Bozeman in the Sky Lounge.  It was only a 30 minute set and not nearly as funny as the night before.

Before calling it a night we popped into the OVC for some late night pizza and ate it by the pool and watched the crew set up decorations for today’s festivities.

Yes I find vaping like sitting next to somebody with strong perfume or cologne.  Makes me sneeze!

Happy 4th of July!  Are you staying on board?  Is the drink policy still the same (only pool bar open in port)?

Thank you!  Yes, we are staying on board. I have no patience for tendering anymore. Drink service will only be available on the pool deck. Will let you know how that goes.
