"Do You Feel Lucky?" Georgia Peaches takes a Blue Chip Cruise! Live from Equinox, July 2-8!

Made it to the airport by 6:15 along with everyone else south of the Mason Dixon line!  To say it was absolute chaos would be an understatement. Security lines for all gates/concourses were backed up to and wrapped around statue structures in the main lobby. The cattle call of people wound on for what seemed like miles. Add to that the K-9 dog sniffers and people who can’t or won’t follow directions and I became most grateful for our access to the priority line.

The priority security line has been moved to North terminal. The lines in this area were also backed up but nothing scary or unusual. We made it through fairly quickly and they weren’t requiring shoe removal so that helped with the traffic flow.

We are at our gate now and so is our plane. So far everything appears to be on time!  I’m definitely liking how this morning is shaping up.

I’ve never seen security lines as bad as I have in Atl.  Even the tsa line     When traveling there I always use the 3 hour before rule as you never know.

have a wonderful cruise.  😊

Thank you so much! The 7th month!  That's awesome!

Bon voyage!  It looks like your morning is falling into place properly.

It just dawned on me that my vacation starts this coming Friday 7/7 so I may need to find a casino or at least a lottery counter in New England.

We also enjoy the martini bar!  😊 Safe travels.

Check out this Seven Seas Martini.

I have not tried one yet, but it sure is a pretty shade of GREEN.

Maybe a nice complement to the casino cruise?$?

From start to finish embarkation on Equinox has been one of the most simple tasks I’ve complete in quite some time. Our flight from ATL arrived in FLL 20 minutes early. From gate to cruise terminal took 45 minutes and embarkation took another 10!  I’m very impressed with the entire operation and haven’t at all felt like I’m missing out by not being in a suite.

After collecting luggage, which we checked at the last minute, we headed to the taxi stand and immediately loaded into a cab. The cab ride lasted maybe 10 minutes and cost $16 bucks!  It was 11 AM and I was fully prepared to wait for our 12:30 boarding time but such would not be the case. DH had just enough time to change into his shorts before our group was escorted into the ship. I was almost dizzy with the speed at which we embarked!

A quick visit to our stateroom for luggage drop off was followed by the first drink of the cruise….Elderflower blues for me (too sweet) and a bourbon and peaches for DH. We followed that with a whirl around the casino to scope out the games and then lunch at Dudhi on 5.

Immediate casino impressions:

1.  Yes, it’s true…vaping is allowed.
2. Some gaming areas have been replaced with high top tables directly in front of the casino bar.
3.  No Zeus or Buffalo Max 😌

Overall impressions:

Equinox is in great shape!  Clean and bright. I see nothing through my cocktailed lens that would detract from the next 6 nights!

Someone asked about embarkation wine and I apologize for not being able to find that post ATM but wanted to say that we did not embark with any wine so I can’t comment on the enforcement of the new policy. Will try to find out more.

@Georgia_PeachesI was the one asking about bringing wine on board.  Actually, today I received an email reply from Celebrity in response to a query I sent a few weeks ago:

In terms of alcoholic drinks, starting on July 1, 2023 guests are allowed to bring only one (1) 750 mL bottle wine/champagne, per adult of drinking age, per sailing on embarkation day. No other alcoholic beverages are permitted to be carried on. Kindly note, there is a $25.00-per-bottle corkage fee for guests who choose to consume this alcohol in any of the ship’s bars, lounges or restaurants.

Should you have any lingering questions or concerns, I encourage you to contact us at 844-418-6824.

Enjoy your cruise!  PS: Love the face shirt!!
