A few years back, we were on a TA where the cut-off was 1,250.  It makes you realize that there are lots of folks in the 1,000+ club!

Yes TA cruises are the ones that we never plan on making the cut. Even on a 16 Hawaii cruise this year our 490 days barely made it

Today is a sea day as we head towards Gibraltar.  Last night was quite rough, but much calmer this morning.  It is overcast, breezy and cool.  Too cool for the Sanctuary.

Just returned from the Fitness Center.  Now a shower and our couch with a good book!

Constantin.... I always liked that name. Reminds me of Constantine Harper the  Pointman. But I digress,  I applaud you sir on your physical work out ( I assume  that's what you were doing) and determination 👏

Today we had lunch at the Ocean Terrace Sushi Bar.  It was very good for "cruise ship" sushi.  It was not busy at all.  We saw three other couples during the time we there.

I'm sad that Ocean Terrace doesn't have the Crab Margarita anymore. I don't do sushi but liked those!

Wimps!!! While it was a little breezy, it was nowhere as windy as before. Just a beautiful day in our favorite place on board.

They refused to discuss until tomorrow.  It is what it is. Getting a dedicated table for 2 seems unlikely.  Oh why oh why didn't I take a screenshot last week. Lol.

What was the final resolution? Good idea to take a screenshot, I'll do it now, but do you think it will make a difference?
I'd love to hear how your first TA is going. Not wanting to hijack this thread, I tried to PM you, but I get an error message that the feature is disabled.

You got me on that one! 🤣🤣🤣

It's my thin Cuban blood!  I have been checking temperatures for the upcoming week and it will definitely be warming up.  We might be up there tomorrow after a quick stroll in Gibraltar.

The extra dishes in the Reserve Collection Dining Room tonight were an Escargot Baguette appetizer and Lobster Thermador.  This is the first time we have seen this escargot dish, it was delicious!

It was handled well. We decided to opt out of fixed time voluntarily, but we weren’t asked to do so.

The first week has resembled a port intensive 7 day so far. Lol. Next week should be amazing. Sea days are the best reason to cruise. We have two massages scheduled to ensure a soft landing when we get home.

I don’t like this. Has this been done before ?

This is very common we had surrender our passports many times on Trans Atlantic cruises. They have never lost them and what would you do with them besides lock them in your safe ?

Snark aside, five days seems excessive.

When we did around South America they had them almost the entire trip BA to LA.  No big deal.  They are not required to go ashore and no need for them onboard.  They give you a receipt which you turn in when you get them back.  If they are required ashore as with the excursion to Machu Picchu they will give them to you.

For those in onboard activities: please rearrange playing locations as wanted!! I found a really great area on Lido deck near the marketplace for games!! Call me at 8433 if you want to move the group, or better yet, announce it at your 1st meet up!!

@Ombud glad to hear you did 5 miles. How long it took for you to walk to Livorno Central station from where the shuttle dropoff? Surprised it was a short walk 🤔. Our bus ride was about 10-15 mins.

Its only about a 20 minute walk. So it took almost as long to take a bus?? One weird thing: they don't check for tickets on the train .... I had them (rt 5.6€)

Off to another walk in Gibraltar. The whole colony is only 2-3sq miles so yeah .... short walk.
