Maybe the future of the Crown Lounge is that it will at some time become D+ and Pin. Then eventually it might become the Pin Lounge. Now it is no longer necessary to make new signs. All RCI has to do is allow access as they choose.

Agree...now they have the flexibility to adjust per cruise...according to the numbers on board.

@shirazcruiser touched on an interesting thought.  If a D/D+ suites passenger decides to visit the Crown Lounge during Happy Hour would they have to use a voucher or would their beverage be “free” ?  I assume (guess) that they would have to use a voucher since beverages are not complimentary in the CL.

I would think so too.

Absolutely yes.

Perhaps royal caribbean will again change the point requirement for each class of loyalty to keep the numbers within reason..

I remember many Pins telling us tales of the double-point cruises they used to do and how many of them were able to make great leaps toward Pin status - and those days are long gone.

We're mid-50s, suites only, and the cruise after the next one will get us to D+.  If we were ever to make it to Pin status I think we'd have forgotten what it was we were after. More power to you if you can make it work, but for us that's a Grand Canyon leap of points we doubt we'll ever achieve.

I would think that three nights cruises would not be that popular with people who love to cruise.

Why is that? I love cruising and did quite a few 3 day cruises before I retired. Doing this allowed me to cruise frequently while not using too much vacation time, which I normally used for longer 7-8 day cruises. Since I retired I have tended to do longer cruises, but I still enjoy the shorter 3-4 day cruises and go on one every few months.

Well I guess I thought wrong.

Pretty funny suite lounge people not being happy with snobby pinnacles.

Hmmm...was it Groucho Marx who said:  " I refuse to join a club that would have myself as a member"...?

We were on the same cruise on Harmony and had no issues getting seats in SL.  Our group of 6 were there every night from 4:30-5:30.  Plenty available at that time.  Yes only 30 Pins allowed in during happy hour but they had access outside those hours.  I think around 160 pins on that sailing  and they love those name tags.  We especially enjoyed the lady who told my husband to move on the elevator so she could push the buttons and then made sure to barge ahead of us to get in the SL and slammed the door in our face.  Since we got off with her and were a few steps behind her, there was no way she didn't know where we were going.  But then we saw her bossing the staff around in the SL too.  Gotta love the entitled ones.  I'm guessing they are not treated "special" in the real world!

Low 30 pinnacles currently on Allure (four night). We have full access to suite lounge/coastal kitchen (B-L-D) but can  only make dinner reservations one day at a time, based on availability. Information to that effect is listed on the benefits document in the cabin info.   We will also be here for the weekend 3 night. I understand there will be 60+ pinnacles on board.  Not sure of access for that cruise.

Good food, good entertainment, good staff.

Again only night I had an issue was first night, I also definitely prefer oasis and allure suite lounge since bar on harmony had only 5 or 6 seats . Did anyone getCovid my wife was cold last couple of nights and has been sick last couple of days and was positive this morning going to doctor. We were at the suite bar every night but the first.

I'm planning a family cruise on Harmony in the fall 2024.  So far we have booked - a 2 bedroom Suite, (2 adults 2 two year olds) an Owner suite, a Grand Suite, and a Jr. Suite.  Can anyone give me advice on how to book dinners, shows, or just plain advice before I commit myself!  Are there tables that seat 8 adults and 2 children in Coastal kitchen?  And will we be able to make dinner reservations every night in advance...kids like to eat around 6 - 6:30.   Thanks!

Full suites will get an email a week before the sailing from a suite concierge and you can make CK reservations at that time ... you'll have to discuss with them about whether they will include the Jr. Suite in that reservation since it does not get full suite perks.  The concierge will also make show reservations though you can also do this yourself through the app/website about a month before the cruise.

I learned that masters in the casino tops being in the top 30 pinnacles. Learn something new every day. A man I was sitting with up in the WJ sid he has over 1100 pinnacle pts and masters in the casino. Pts not enough to make the cut but being masters in the casino tops them all.

Some female waiter told him they were out of fresh squeezed OJ and he went to find a supervisor. It was still 8:15 and wrong answer from her. Seems being master level tops pinnacle.

We have 181 pinnacles this week.

Sorry to hear this george. And sorry we never met up. Turns out my friend might have boarded with a cold and I'm sneezing. Doesnt seem like covid though I brought 2 covid tests. I wish he had mentioned it sooner than yesterday.

Hope your wife feels better. This week is worse than last for the top tiers, even more this week though they expect fewer next week.

She was really bad a couple of days ago but better yesterday, she didn’t get most recent Covid booster but did get all the others . We weren’t that impressed with harmony so I will most likely book MSc yacht club for next December. Hope you enjoy the rest of your cruises.

  • 2 weeks later...

Bringing this up again to update the numbers on this symphony sailing. 35 Pinnacles. Getting ck reservations is easy, SL is empty.

35 out of 6500 isn’t a problem. This is 4 out of 4 cruises where the number of pinnacles is not even close to being overwhelming.

So other than TAs, I’m hanging a tough time seeing that P, D+, and Ds are overwhelming.

Last rccl we loved suite lounge on allure , pinnacle’s had their own lounge , no problem getting a table or waiter . Currently on harmony seems pinnacle’s took almost all the tables couldn’t find any table , concierge said this was rccl policy, was going to book owners suite for next year, now will book MSC yacht club.

The horror!
