Celebrity Casino - vs- RCCL Casino...

I am not asking about a comparison. We are regular RCCL cruisers and spend much time in the casino. In The RCCL Casino on the Host desk they have a QR code to scan to see what comp cruises one might be offered if one meet the minimum points for that cruise. Does Celebrity have the same program? I can find nothing about it, but when I go to the Bluechip page and click on the "menu" button, the drop down menu shows this very thing. I called BlueChip and they had no idea what I was asking.

Anyone on here know?

I cruise both RC and Celebrity.  I have a very basic understanding of the two very different casino programs.  With Royal, you use your SeaPass card in the machines and it automatically tallies points towards perks, such as credit towards a free cruise.  Celebrity's Blue Chip Club requires a credit check to qualify for enrollment, and upon approval you're given a credit limit to use in the casino, which then the points tally to earn free cruises.  I believe this is how it works, but I'm absolutely positive someone will correct me or at least clarify for us.

No credit check for enrollment.  They scan your sea pass card and you start building from there.  I been deluged with offers lately for Nov-Jan free cruises.  Im only at onyx lvl on celebrity, 2nd tier overall.

No credit check enroll/play.  The credit check is only if you want a "marker" or a line of credit with the casino which eliminates the need for bringing large quantities of cash.

Building toward what number? I think the OP is looking for the "trigger" points where gambling $X.00 yields a 5 night cruise, Gambling $X + $Y yields a 7 night cruise.

Being only onyx level, I have gotten lots of offers for sailings.  Was able to put together a side by side Reflection 6 days then Apex 7 days in December.  Both OV rooms, and upgraded them which did not cost about 100 each to balcony and porthole verandah.   image.thumb.png.bd53e0ea55ef186b94a3b28faef351dc.pngimage.thumb.png.bd53e0ea55ef186b94a3b28faef351dc.png

excellent....and thank you all for answering. This is close to what I am asking, but not exactly.  I guess RCCL has 2 types of point calculation. The "point year" goes from April 1 through March 31 of the following year.....this is how your Tier level is set . RCCL will give free cruises based on this, but frankly, one never knows how many offers one may get. the best offers come from the calculation of points accumulated on a single cruise. If one gets 2000 to 12000 points on a single cruise one will get a list of  hundreds of cruises to choose from,  from 3 day cruises to trans Atlantic offers. There are about 10 levels of cruise point levels that anyone in the casino can scan the Q code for....These cruises can include Trans Atlantic or Pacific.

My question really is does Celebrity have a similar program?....If so. great!....If not...well w will still enjoy the Celebrity experience.

I just put my sea pass in the slot or hand to the dealer at table games. Never enrolled in anything but I get several offers delivered to my room during the cruise.

At the moment, no, X does not have a program like RCI where they list free cruise QR codes by tier point levels

We cruise both lines and gamble on each. We find Royal to have their act together with its casino program. Celebrity does not but I was told that they’re working to adopt the same program as Royal. We receive more offers from Royal than we could possibly use.  Celebrity  does send us offers weekly via email and snail mail but Royal just has a better program right now once you reach Prime and above.

I haven't read the entire thread so please forgive me if this has already been pointed out.   You only have to do a credit check if you wish to take out a line of credit...I believe the minimum is 10K.  Otherwise, you are automatically enrolled in the blue Chip program when you use your card in a machine to play a game...my husband, who doesn't gamble is at the Pearl level only because he swiped his card and played a few bucks...and his automatically loaded free play.

@spunks I have not seen a QR code at the host stand but on our most recent cruise in early June, I received a paper notification from the Casino host on the last day of our cruise stating I had qualified for a "free" cruise in an Ocean view cabin or $1000 off a different category.  There was a QR code on the paper that I scanned for more information.  It was the first time I had ever received such a notice.

The short answer is yes.  Celebrity seems to have started doing this but it came as a surprise as it was not advertised.  I recommend you seek out and introduce yourself to the casino host when you board and ask them specifically to get the full scoop....and then report back! ☺️  It seems that these developments are on the newer side.

Now that they are matching the cruisers loyalty levels, it would be awesome if they matched the casino levels.  Or better yet let them accrue in the same casino account for the year.

just wishful thinking

Hi, So the short answer is yes. They offer free cruises. If you do a search Blue Chip Club offers a page will come up to put in your name and blue chip number. Your blue chip number is your Captain's Club number. It will bring up all your offers. If you don't have any offers, you can sign up for them on that page. Your offers depend on your level and other things they take into consideration. Hope that helped.

I have cruised on both Celebrity and RCI multiple times over the past few months. Their casino programs are very similar now. On both cruise lines you can go to the casino desk and see a sheet listing how many points are needed for an interior, a balcony, etc. Additionally, you can get a list of the cruises available for each point level (1500 points, 2000 points, etc). I can only address slots, but both cruise lines give you one point for every $5 wagered.

1 point per $1 ?!?  On RCI it’s $5 per point.

Just returned from my cruise on the Apex and there was indeed a flyer and QR code by the Casino Host desk.  It listed the points needed for catagory types.  The day before the end of the cruise, both my husband and I received a "free cruise voucher" with a QR code with the list of available cruises for the catagory type we each received (1 inside and 1 veranda). The Veranda QR code had twice as many options then the inside.  Since we could not book the BCC offer on the ship we were able to book a FCC and combined both offers when I returned home.

I wish they would combine the casino programs into one program where you use your earned benefits on either line.  Maybe now that they have matching status on loyalty levels this might be next?

After reading this thread I think I need to take up gambling! I used to make my donations to the casino via the roulette table capped at $100, but expect it would take more than that to get a "free" cruise. 😂
