You have been on the Celebrity boards a long time. I not surprised that you need a change. I have never committed to one line. I haven't found one that is 100 perfect or offers my needs every time. We are going back to Princess after 12 yrs. It will be exciting and new again for us.

Absolutely!

Not only is it nice to try other lines it is nice to holiday in a variety of different ways…AI, fly drive, lodges, cottages and villas have always punctuated our cruises along with tours both organised and self designed.

For a variety of reasons I haven’t cruised for two years now (longest gap ever) and I am so excited about boarding again! One thing I think is good about Celebrity is that they do have such a range of products. The ‘traditional’ M class, S class with its variety and E class with its perceived strengths and weaknesses including the ‘marmite’ IV…

OP enjoy your cruise on HAL…

I'm Old (not sure about the Boring) so Celebrities M and S Class ships are My Favorites.......

Yes to trying different cruise lines. We have done More Expensive one's and (Gag) Cheaper ones.

Little things like Less Crowding, Non-Smoking Casinos, Cloth Towels in public restrooms, Good Included  Ice Cream and Multiple included drink flavors in the OVC, Star Link WiFi and great Activities keep Us coming back to Celebrity.

One change of pace cruise on Oasis (Royal) made us very happy to be back.on X..Just not the same.

.Maybe great for kids... The often touted Deli on day one smelled like wet dog ( apology to dogs), food was awful and it did not get much better!

I think everyone shares your dislike for fake baloney.   🙂

Harris

Denver, CO

Please do not assume you know everyone feeling for them, personally I prefer them as it does give room a bigger feel.  Not in the room much anyways and the extra space and the full window view I enjoy.  No different than french balconies on river cruises I have taken.

Hmmm.  Quite the fan group for fake baloney?  What are your thoughts on fake steak?

Other than the dreadful non balcony balconies, and the gutting of the Casino programme, Celebrity is still the best cruising experience for us.  We've done MSC (YC) and Cunard this year  - both were nice, but we still prefer Celebrity.

The lack of water slides, video game arcades and feral kids running around is a definitely plus.

I was thinking Princess mini suite with Premier package would be our next cruise until I found a perfectly decent Celebrity Aqua cruise at a decent price.  Also because of work, the Celebrity schedule is at a time when I won’t be busy (May) whereas Princess is at a busy time (April).

I don’t have to hit myself in the head with a hammer to know I won’t like it.

Between Covid, relocating and building a home we just returned from our first cruise since 2019. Our vacation time was used traveling to Florida to purchase and build our home. Since we moved here 18 months ago we have been touring here. We booked a cruise that was going to Key West. Sailing in circles off the cost of Florida was better than driving 6 hours to get there. It was also more economical. It was a new cruising experience for us as the ship became the destination. I would book a cheap cruise during hurricane season anytime now that I don't have to fly to port and if the ship has to change the itinerary I wouldn't care. I also don't mind shorter 4 or 5 night cruises any more. My perspective has changed now that I live in Florida which in its self makes it seem new.

We thought the same about the mini suite until we discovered that it has no walk in shower just a shower over the bath which totally rules it out due to mobility issues.
