  1. Don't shoot the messenger and categorize people as you did. A snarky remark is never appreciated. I applied for and paid for my authorization 3 weeks prior to the cruise. While others felt different I rationalized it as it's just $120 and didn't want to deal with the hassle and last minute rush. . What I'm enjoying is the exact same things being debated. I agree with your comment that Celebrity messaging is a disaster. 3 weeks ago I was told I needed a Bermuda Travel Authorization for our Greenland cruise.
  2. Really haven't looked as I don't travel Solo. I would say on the link above if you read the fine print at the bottom it will tell you.
  3. I'm enjoying the topic. Brings me back to April when Silhouette was the first ship to Visit Bermuda on a TA. What a mess. Celebrity didn't send out anything until 2 days prior to the cruise. Couple hundred were stuck at terminal for up to 5 hours getting approval before boarding. The big question back then was whether Celebrity was providing the Travel Pass or whether passengers had to do it. At least we didn't have to take an additional test. You could apply in adance and pay fee and then 3 days before boarding upload the Vax Certificates to Bermuda and then wait for approx 24 hours for them to approve. Really tough when we only got final word 2-3 days in advance.
  4. Also if you want a faster answer just Google your Question and it usually finds the site. The "Creative" site is a Celebrity Site for Travel agents to assist them sell Celebrity cruises. You really can't usually find stuff there easy but Google finds it.
  5. You can bet just promo chips and winnings paid out in regular chips. The Regular Chips can then be cashed out or you can also gamble them away. Many have advised me of the best odds that you can redeem 85% just by the odds of the game. I just don't like gambling.
  6. Try this https://creative.rccl.com/Sales/Celebrity/General_Info/Special_Offers/6_17_22_FLY_Single_Supplement.pdf Click the button and it downloads an excel spreadsheet.
  7. Sorry to hear of your trouble. I found it confusing on eMed site as there is a different E-Mail and Password for Navica and eMed. If you sign on with your Navica logon you test QR code is sent there. I tested with them 2 days ago. Had a problem with one of the test showing inconclusive an had to redo using a new kit. They did automatically send us a replacement by 2 day (weekday) FedEx deliver so wont receive until tomorrow. Had both our reslts within 5 minutes of completion of test. If you have any home self test there are a couple sites being talked about online that you can do a proctored test really inexpensive using a Zoom Conference Call.
  8. Per most recent CC program updates and changes https://www.celebritycruises.com/captains-club/program-changes Elite and Elite Plus members enjoy 90 and 240 complimentary stream minutes, while Zenith members enjoy complimentary premium Wi-Fi.
  9. Love your spirit and positive attitude.
  10. I think it will depend on the Itinerary. On our Greenland 8/7 cruise our first Canadian port is day 3 so can file in advance. On the 8/19 return it will be late in cruise so will have to fill out on ship. Like you I've filled out everything except the last step of arrival port within 72 hours. I did play around and put a date in within the 72 hour range and the final step is maybe 15 seconds and submit. When on Silhouette for the April TA we had to file a Spain TA and they had the computers in the Internet Cafe setup to access with no account. When I went do to print mine I noticed they also had a link for ArriveCan with free access. They also setup computers in the Conference area for guests to use.
  11. Come back and let us know what you find. I was at the point of buying some GoPros (all are current versions) to burn off so much credit but found a way to spend it. I was going to resell them on EBay as I already have one. LOL
  12. Wow.. sorry for all your stress. Sounds like you have a solution. We will all be rooting for you - Even the RAT. LOL
  13. I can understand your anxiety but you have plenty of time. As others suggested you could always do a self proctored test the night before flight and then take your test once you arrive at your hotel. You could also do it when you get up before your flight. You don't have to sit at your computer or phone for the whole 15-20 minutes. After you do the Swab you can leave your computer had have breakfast or coffee and a buzzer sounds when the 15 minutes are up and you then click a button to finalize the reading of the test results. From when I tested positive it will show Positive long before the 15 minutes. Most times within 20-30 seconds. Going through airport security stress is 10x worse than taking the test. Enjoy your vacation
  14. The minutes are connection time. You can log on and off multiple times throughout the cruise but if you accidentally forget to LOGOFF all your minutes will be burnt of when you come back. Prior to packages I use to do this and made sure I had book marked the LogOff Screen. Also remember that you both get the 90 minutes so can create a second account when you burn off the first ones limit.
  15. Cruise deckplans have some good tools and links - While I've never been in the cabin it should be quiet as there are only rooms above and below it and no service areas accross from the room It is not listed as an obstructed view on a Celebrity Travel Agent link that show obstructions by cabin that have obstructed views. https://www.thecelebritycommitment.com/360_Solstice_Class.html This is a youtube video of the same cabin on Starboard - so while may not have been revolutionized yet shows the view -
  16. Google Voice is another option. I use mine mostly when i have to give a phone number out and don't want telemarketing calls, but used the app while on a ship to call my kids on their home numbers.
  17. May not be a potato chip but they have Pringles in the Gift Shop. I have seen them at lunch sometimes at the sandwich station both bulk and sometimes in individual bags.
  18. It is still showing on Cruise Planner on Day 3 Never knew Greenland had palm trees and beaches.
  19. The fine print at least what I can see says 2 HOURS in the picture from the website. I really couldn't read the picture from the link where it may say 1-2 days.
  20. I had the same thing happen on Silhouette being told they could not accommodate us at all on the night we requested even though we gave the Retreat Concierge the request. I would have to blame it on the Concierge because he forgot to book it when I first requested. The other concierge and I went and talked to the Maitr' D and he was able to accommodate. She was unlike her partner a Super Star of a Concierge. I'm still in contact with her. Murano was only half filled which made me wonder why all the drama. I later understood they were having a Chef's Table Dinner and were pulling seating so they could properly handle the extra demands of the dinner.
  21. As others said it is the passengers to know the travel requirements. The Summit Cruise to Greenland and Back as well as the New England Canada cruises are unique and may not be printed out in a easy to find location - We should all agree Celebrity is not the best at messaging as I was sent a message that we require a Bermuda Travel Authorization for the Greenland Cruise. It is posted as a requirement on the Alaska area but is real clear (at least in my mind) that CANADA REQUIRES - and doesn't say if arriving from any specific port or location. The link sends you to the ArriveCAN website where it will spell in detail in more detail than any of us would wish to read, that you have to fill it out if ARRIVING INTO CANADA. Canada requires arriving travelers to complete an entry form prior to arrival. The form can be found here. It takes less than 5 minutes to fill out and much easier using the App because you just scan your passport and it imports all the passport details.
  22. @drakes2 I just did a Google on Riverside and Covid test - It returned the official Riverside Hotel page at https://www.riversidehotel.com/ Half way down the page The link takes me to instructions but too small for my tired old eyes to read. I can see it is close by and says appointments required and proof of insurance required in advance so may have to pay.
  23. I would think Ensemble Lounge may meet your requirements. They have lots of seating and generally in the evening have soft either classic, violin or guitar music. Cellar Master may also be an option it is usually very lightly used but not sure of the noise level as it is across from Martini Bar and the main Foyer well. But if sitting in the back you may be protected
  24. You will be perfectly dressed as long as you have on long pants and a collared shirt even a Izod. I'm sure you will feel comfortable wearing what you wish as you described.
