  1. Haha! She is actually called the poops Toots ( Tutu is a local name for Grandma ) by the youngest grandboy as she is the prefered diaper changer. As for the Koala, it's a No Go. Mahalo for the options.
  2. Here I'm thinking I've come up with a surprise for my animal loving wife. I booked a ship tour to Lone Pine and was contemplating alternative transportation to stay longer and enjoy more of the encounters. I've already booked the pictures with the Koala option and wanted to get there early to do the hold a Koala experience. I brought it up just seeing if she'd be excited and she said the last thing she'd do was hold a Koala as she did this as a young girl at San Diego Zoo and it peed on her. She said she was traumatized and wasn't going to get near one. Guess I'm looking for something else to do in Brisbane.😆
  3. You forgot Long Beach, the jewel of SoCal. Great airport and close to San Pedro. Another consideration is if you plan on coming in a few days early San Fran has more attractions. Just stay away from downtown. If you plan on cutting it close, I'd definitely chose Los Angeles as weather delays can build quickly in San Francisco.
  4. Thank-you! Going to have to figure which ones I like best and start provisioning my cabin for when they switch over.
  5. What dining room was that and do you remember table #. Looks like a stand alone 2 top, just the type we really enjoy. Mahalo
  6. Happened first day ( actually 3rd ) of a 26 day cruise and didn't report it. Figure live and learn and if we didn't get anything didn't want to be pissed off. On one of our first cruises on HAL, my wifes dress got burned from the sparklers durning the baked Alaska parade. We didn't even have to ask, we got a claim form for her dress and a bunch of OBC. The "good Ole Days" of customer service.
  7. We did that, never again. Took 3 days and they burned my wifes pants. I'd rather go iron in the laundry room.
  8. The furthest aft balcony cabin is partially covered and you do have the viewing area just around the corner. We really liked the mini on the Caribe deck.
  9. One of our favorite cabins. C731 a "new" mini on the Island. Semi wrap around balcony. Plexiglass balcony wall was great compared to a metal one. Cabin was of the new design with the wall mounted TVs and the separation curtain.
  10. If you go to Packages on the app, there is a bar graph which shows how many drinks you've been charged for the period. I also check my folio daily in the app, this one feature has made it easy to track your account. I just wait for ones that will outwardly affect me, then go to GS to get it fixed.
  11. They get their money no matter what. Your folio doesn't close out till the end of your cruise, so you can keep paying it down. You won't be able to deposit them via kiosk but will have to take them to GS desk to do it. Think positive, after 1st 5k you'll hit it big and keep 10k for next comp cruise😀 I used to live in Las Vegas and when people asked me if I gambled, I say "Yes I got married a second time and Saturday makes 36yrs and I'm still trying to figure out if I won or lost".
  12. This is what we do. Next cruise we'll wait till the onboard currency changes from AUD to USD to apply our GCs
  13. Not exactly correct. I've had it both ways depending on type of Gift Card used. The only time I've had money returned to gift cards was refunds on AARP bought cards during Covid for full cruise refund. I've gotten checks for gift cards I've deposited for OBC that came from Barclays Princess card.
  14. How about a beer list Please!! We'll be on the Majestic for 40 days with 15 port stops, that leaves a lot of time for Beer drinking😀 Mahalo
  15. I use several that you can easily input every filter you'd like. Of course they can't be mentioned. Start with a Google search of Online Cruise Planner Cruise Industry Online Search Engine Best online Cruise search engine. You'll run through a few till you find one that delivers all you ask. My Mom used to love to get her Cruise Atlas and start lining things up. Just like a kid at Christmas with the Sears Catalog. I don't ever add any personal info, when asked I close and go to the next
  16. We use the adapter that is pictured above. It allows you to plug the lamp on and an extension cord. We plug a small cord into the adapter and branch it off so both sides have a power plug for devices.
  17. I'll get grief for this and it was a long time ago.Not a word was said about this at the time. They were secured to upside down table and we took them down when not outside. This is how we covered our balcony on a Panama Canal cruise where only mini suites available were uncovered. Learned to book early to get covered Emerald Deck Mini's.
  18. What you can also do is have a friend or even a very friendly mail person, It's amazing what a yearly Christmas gift to them will do, put in a second hold slip. Our Mailwoman used to do this for my Mom every year. I commute and am all over the place and have found a valuable service is the USPS mail notification service, with this service you get a preview of what's in your daily mail delivery. I designed my mailbox at my Hawaii home so my mail goes through a slot into my garage closet and into a large kitchen garbage can. I can have a friend check anything I might have questions about. After a $2 pipe caused a 57K renovation in our LAS home, I've installed water shutoffs on my homes. It's a "T" handle we close on our way out. The outside water for sprinklers and pool fill still work, only no inside water. I carry my laptop and use a VPN to do anything I need secure on my laptop, or use cellular data in port to do any financial transactions. Facetime has gotten pretty good on board to be able to talk to the kids and grandkids.
  19. I was able to pay for our Queensland cruise as well as the TP from Sydney to YVR. What I was unable to do was pay for excursions in Aus with gift cards due to the conversion to AUD. Otherwise very easy.
  20. Could just be another one of Princess's IT departments failures. Just try again later, hopefully not all sold out.
  21. We spent a day with them last March. Great day! Did you stop for coffee and muffins up in the hills? I wanted to go swimming in the trench but after the big lunch I didn't think I'd make it back up the ladder. Did get in and swim at the seminary school. Trudy was awesome in bargaining down the price of shirts for our Grandsons. Great People, can't recommend enough.
  22. After reading one of your reviews we are rethinking our tour with Mr Sumai. Not really tour people, wife likes to shop for Grandkids and I like Thai Food and Beer. We have a day tour planned for our arrival on 10/19 on the Coral Princess. I think we'd rather take a taxi to Fishermans Village, then hit a beach for lunch and drinks on the way back to the ship. Any idea on approx taxi costs and where would you recommend we stop o way back to the ship?
