  1. How sad that a few E Class ships have this issue.. LEMON CLASS!
  2. true.. its the full load that will make it more crowded in certain " private" spaces regardless of source. ..Luminae was plenty big but the suite outdoor area had a small pool, and limited lunch seating. We are fine going back to other categories, but think spaces on E Class , which we enjoy, could have been planned better.. Hoping to see some new ideas on ASCENT!
  3. Oasis and Allure appeal to some and X size ships to others.....but wonder about the ICON Class...perhaps a bit too much! We check to avoid being in ports with the biggies and will add ICON to that list..
  4. sep areas never bothered us on Cunard or E Class, but on Celeb the space could have been put to better use..like a much nicer spa area with a real T pool and outdoor space ; and a nice area ( Retreat) open to all with billiards, darts and games and comfy seating. Maybe craft beers lite bites! . When we sailed in a Retreat cabin on Beyond we thought the Retreat area was a large wasted sterile space; and the outdoor area was inadequate for enjoyment other than on a port day. (With the move ups now filling suites, it will become more crowded.)
  5. At the least leave a note where the attendant will see it.. mirror.. wall ?? My husb would probably try to locate them...can't be very far away unless they are a "ghost" employee.. Try to get a mtg with attendant & housekeeping supervisor..goal: immediate service and retraining!
  6. we will try APEX next yr..hve done EDGE, BEYOND, ASCENT next...but jumping back to Concierge Class on Silhouette..
  7. who in mgmnt.. going up the food chain is monitoring this..? can u remove any daily or pre paid grats for housekeeping ? you are not getting any proper service! for outdoor loungers I'd look for another spot..maybe a higher or lower deck !
  8. Thanks.. we would probably do a few days pre cruise .... would love to see the aquarium.
  9. we are no longer adding tips to waitstaff...it is included in our prepaid res. Same for sommelier with our alc package unless great service . I read an article this wk where a restaurant is adding a fee to defer costs of employee health insurance. It is removable upon request.. Really getting out of hand!
  10. thanks for posting the room# diagram Deck 10 middle seems loke it will be good for us on APEX.. We did fine with only 1 lounger plus chair on EDGE.. Did not sit out much..too sunny and the next door cabin including the balcony was used as frat boy party central.. day and night, except when they left for meals and late night .. The aft views were amazing...sunrise, sunset, night sky. Would not give up a SV...
  11. Have a great cruise... will be following your posts. .What hotel did you stay at? What other places to eat are nearby? We are driving distance to Tampa (in winter) but have not yet cruised from that port. Hope to hear more about it and gen condition of Constellation. Been on her a few times but not recently.. AQ sky suite sounds interesting..enjoy!
  12. Folks...I am.sorry I made another thread on a pending topic... maybe they can be combined. I just reacted to a Fla news article I saw today... We would never go on a Monster size ship..Oasis was bad enough! One and done.... The concern is how they will affect ports..both departure ports ( hotels tranportation, port traffic and parking) .... as well as any places they might stop. Even a private island could be easily overwhelmed...And it could be awful in emergencies, or with contagious illness on board. Hoping X does not go bigger...if anything S Class is ideal!
  13. Icon of the Seas is nearly 1,200 feet long and comes in at 250,800 gross tons. It has 20 decks and is the first of a new class of vessels for Royal Caribbean. The new ship takes the "world's largest cruise ship" title from Wonder of the Seas, which is also a Royal Caribbean vessel. It will port in Miami and do Eastern and Western Carib with 7,600 cruisers. Could overwhelm any port! Hope nothing like that planned for X!
  14. Sofa has no arms, is not very wide/ deep and is low to the ground. It is not soft..but could work with Happy Napper..
  15. BLU has always been preferred by some suite cruisers and many of us who sail in Aqua Class... Luminae was created AFTER Blu but took a different approach richer, fancier foods. .If it offered a few BLU items on its menu, maybe more would stick to Luminae???
  16. We don't know much about wine.. and do not drink much compared to others. Sorry if I am not familiar.. with brands or prices. It all seems expensive to me.... compared to club soda and lime!
  17. ABC itin will be a treat..no bad ports!
  18. These pricing changes mainly impact those who are into upscale wines and drinks, but others may still book suites for other amenities, like Luminae, pool area, larger staterooms, priority embark and disembark. Maybe demographics of pax will change in new direction.???
  19. Hope you win.. but follow the sales.. price without perks might become in budget...
  20. yes..and we did not have Soot issues on 7.. but now wonderng about higher up..closer to the stacks!
  21. posted info to our roll call will be a nice change from the White Night party
  22. I thought the same..no idea!
